Update: I killed a NCR veteran without gaining infamy by pissing them off from a distance with an explosive anti-material round, allowing them to come to me, Then letting Boone and ed-e finish the job. Killed the one posted near the entrance of the house resort and the area I lured him to was the valley that is directly in front. I was standing on those giant pipes when I did it so maybe thatβs why the rest of the base didnβt get pissed
Hi,
I recently encountered some nice and generous people on Reddit who helped me with efforts to volunteer or contribute/donate items for the homeless/unhoused.
I camped at Kirby Cove last weekend and enjoyed visiting San Francisco and even a quick stop at Oakland.
I'm from Southern California and plan group camping trips, usually on Meetup, but thought maybe I should invite a few others from Reddit since we sometimes have space at our campsite to share with others to join...and sometimes people aren't able to get their own campsite or don't have anyone to go camping with.
I'm vaccinated and still wear a mask if it matters.
We usually have friendly people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and even older...both guys and gals...new first-time campers, as well as casual car campers, and also experienced campers & backpackers. So we usually are a melting pot of individuals.
If anyone is friendly, preferably vaccinated, and can practice COVID safety procedures, then feel free to lmk if you're interested in joining us.
Totally fine if anyone wants to do their own thing and hike on their own. Our group is very flexible, easy-going, and laid-back.
Some people enjoy hiking with others, but some might be shy, nervous, or anxious due to COVID...so it's totally cool if anyone prefers being solo/alone.
Wed - Sat @ Yosemite (May 19 - 22) ... I wasn't able to get a campsite for Sat night, so sorry for those who prefer a Fri - Sun weekend.
or
Fri/Sat - Sun/Mon @ Sequoia (May 21/22 - 23/24) ... this trip is flexible, meaning you can start on Friday or Saturday...and leave on Sunday or Monday.
Space is limited for people and parking, but we usually make things work. Both Yosemite and Sequoia should have overflow parking available.
Edited to add - I know camping with unknown people (aka strangers) sounds unusual, and possibly scary. I get it. If it helps, I've planned 50 camping trips with new people, and so far, nobody has died, been murdered, or been seriously injured yet. I personally have been pleasantly surprised and the majority of people I've met on our trips have been good, fun, and friendly people.
Believe it or not, we usually have a male/female ratio around 50/50. I'm always surprised that women join our trips, but I recognize it's not easy, and the world is a scary place with some bad individuals. If it'll help, I have photos from my past camping trips, so if anyone is serious, they can see for themselves our past trips and previous attendees.
Anyhow, th
... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβd never met anyone with that name before and it struck me. Itβs so beautiful but I am not sure how someone would actually like having that name bc itβs unique and hard to spell.
I wish Iβd asked her how she felt about her name. What are your thoughts?
Iβll be taking some day hikes in SEKI at the end of May and I hope to get away from people. I want to play it bear safe so I was wondering how do you carry food for a hike if bears are attracted to scents (even deodorants and sunscreen)? Iβll be hiking 6-10 miles a day so I have to carry food - I also plan to carry bear spray, I always feel better with it on my hip. Is it only unattended food that you have to be careful with?
