Psychrophilic was not coined in order for you to describe someone who prefers that the temperature of your home or office be freezing; this prickly looking adjective is generally used to refer to bacteria or similar organisms. In the event that you choose to use it in a figurative manner there’s no one who can stop you. An organism (or roommate) that thrives in a low temperature is a psychrophile (not to be confused with thermophiles, which do well in hot temperatures, or mesophiles, which do well in moderate ones).

Hello, I have isolated a ice/water sample from a frozen lake and have been trying to identify what it could be. After gram staining the bacteria it is gram-negative and forms as mono bacilli. I also conducted a test and it seems to be a facultative anaerobe as well. Does anyone know what it might be? I’ve been trying to figure it out for a couple of days now.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

My thoughts: If you know that you're going for eco tags or greenery strategies, this is a card to accumulate discounts. It's usually fine on its own (without extra microbes from other cards), but microbe tag effects would be good to have.
