A list of puns related to "Primitive Streak"
Season 14 Podcast Article
GUESTS: Ali H. Brivanlou, Gist Croft, Cecilia Pelligrini, LeRoy Walters and Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz
Description:
>Last May, two research groups announced a breakthrough: they each grew human embryos, in the lab, longer than ever before. In doing so, they witnessed a period of human development no one had ever seen. But in the process, they crashed up against something called the '14-day rule,' a guideline set over 30 years ago that dictates what we do, and possibly how we feel, about human embryos in the lab.
>On this episode, join producer Molly Webster as she peers down at our very own origins, and wonders: what do we do now?
>This piece was produced by Molly Webster and Annie McEwen, with help from Matt Kielty.
>Special thanks goes to the Bioethics Research Library at Georgetown University; Omar Sultan Haque, Kevin Fitzgerald, SJ, and Josephine Johnston; Charlie McCarthy; Elizabeth Lockett, Mark Hill, and Robert Cork; plus, Eric Boodman, Lauren Morello, and Martin Pera.
>Producer's note about the image:
>Check out the super cool picture that's running with this piece. Scientist Gist Croft sent it to me a couple of weeks after my visit to the Rockefeller lab: it’s an image of the very embryo I looked at under the microscope - a twelve-day old human embryo - but with all the detail highlighted using fluorescent dye. (When I looked in person, we were using a light microscope that showed everything in black and white, with not nearly that precision.) The neon green bits are what's called the epiblast, the clump of cells from which the entire human body develops. See how it looks like it's pulling apart in to two? The scientists don’t know for sure, but they think this embryo might have been on it's way to becoming TWO embryos. Twinning! In action!
Fleet-Cardinal Krenn watched from the bridge of his flagship as the planet below burned, and he was pleased. The cities of the Unworthy made for the perfect inaugural pyre for the renewal of the Holy Endeavor. They would continue to serve Kra as they had before the Mortification.
He shook his head in thought as he remembered those days. He had been a child when their Endeavor had first begun.
Initially, the Chosen's Holy Endeavor had met with success. Over a period of twenty years, a dozen unclean worlds had been discovered and cleansed, ready for the servants of Kra to purify. Three species of his Unworthy Children had even been fully extinguished! A triumph!
Kra had been pleased by his Chosen Children's attempts to aid his Great Servants, and rewarded them greatly. As their Endeavor progressed, His Great Servants had purified five unclean worlds very close to the Home Systems, each a blank slate, ready to be remade in the image of Kra's greatest work, Krathig-yar.
New homes and resources for the Chosen.
Then, disaster had struck. A large group of Unworthy species had been encountered, that worked together. They began coordinating their forces with others to oppose righteous cleansing. But the true depth of their depravity was revealed when they began employing unholy synthetic life against the Chosen; Thou Shalt Not Create Life, For That Is The Domain Of Kra.
The Chosen had despaired, as their fleets had been destroyed, corrupted by the Unworthy's unholy familiars, and been pushed back to the Home Systems.
It had taken what became known as The Mortification to stop them, so named because it was both a humiliation and a penance. Humiliated by their defeats at the hands of the Unworthy, The Chosen had thrown themselves at their enemy in the millions, using ramshackle, quickly built ships with as little automation as possible to prevent corruption.
It had required the sacrifice of twenty percent of their population to stop the Unworthy, but they had done it. He remembered, as a young priest-captain, watching from the bridge of his ship as their enemy finally withdrew.
The massive funeral pyres on the surface of Krathig-yar after.
Two decades of salvaging and rebuilding their fleet.
But this time, they would not fail. The Mortification had purged the weakness from the Cho

My information comes from old clanmates who have sadly become “professional” phishers (they make a lot of money selling accounts and clans), as well as actually having seen the phishing process itself and a Discord server with a PHISHING BOT.
I will try my best to avoid accidentally creating a phishing guide, but there definitely will be some details here that SC won’t want you to know. I do know a fair amount and am pretty confident that I’d be able to phish accounts quite easily with my knowledge, but I refuse to do so after having so many of my accounts stolen, it really broke my heart when mine got phished.
Phishing is absolutely deplorable and I hate to see it be such a prominent issue within this community, so I have written this up for future reference to anyone looking to further understand what a phisher actually does.

Email accounts are not hacked to breach an account linked to SCID
Email accounts are very rarely, if ever “hacked” for SCID. People don’t know what emails are used for your SCID (unless you’re naive enough to tell someone what it is), so a data leak for your email’s password is not something SCID phishers typically look for.
Instead, they use social engineering and phishing bots (more info later) to trick SC support into giving you their account. This means that having a strong password on your email, despite being good security practice, will not prevent SC phishers from stealing your account.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t live in the US
If you live in the US, you’re at the highest risk of having your account stolen. This is because most phishers main source of burden is finding a receipt for a purchase in game, and the device used for playing.
Phishers use public data on phone usage to guess what device you use based on your region. US users tend to use iPhones very frequently, of which there are few models compared to others (additionally, some phishers actually get away with just saying iPhone to

While the government of Byzas agrees to enter the Imperium peacefully various groups within the planet seek to stop it and haphazard revolts and insurrections break out. Here 2 Space Marines are sent to talk to the rebels, checking out the conditions of agri-workers while 2 more are sent to check out the conditions of industrial workers.
>Well, this is fun,’ Grythan Thorn said, as low-velocity projectiles flattened themselves against his power armour. ‘Should we return fire, do you think?’
>Kasperos Telmar shrugged. ‘The primarch said not to hurt them, if possible.’ The farmstead had been occupied by its former menials, and they didn’t seem inclined towards hospitality. Mostly, they seemed to want to shout revolutionary slogans through their purloined voxcasters and waste ammunition.
>A slug ricocheted off the side of his helmet, gouging a grey streak in the paint. His sensors registered the impact, and he sighed.
>‘Though I fail to see how killing a few wouldn’t help settle the rest of them down.’
>‘Peaceful negotiations, brother, remember?’ Thorn laughed. ‘As soon as they run out of ammunition, they’ll be in the mood to talk.’
>The revolutionaries had turned the farmstead into a crude bastion, using whatever was to hand. It was by no means impregnable, but it was impressive, in a way. From a casual examination, Telmar had identified fifteen possible points of entry. The simplest would be to kick the main gate down.
>‘I doubt that. Have you seen the state of them?’ Telmar frowned. ‘I knew it was bound to be bad, but this is monstrous. The rates of starvation alone are reprehensible. It’s no surprise they seized their moment when it came.’
>‘If only it didn’t inconvenience us quite so much,’ Thorn said. He crossed his arms and glanced back towards what remained of the airship that had brought them here, to the outer rim of the agricircle. The aircraft burned merrily. Its etheric engines sparked still, amid the inferno. The crew was dead, more was the pity. A direct hit from a primitive artillery piece had knocked the craft out of the air, and killed everyone not lucky enough to be clad in ceramite. ‘I’m not walking back, I can tell you that.’
>‘Lazy,’ Telmar murmured.
>‘Not laziness. We are the Emperor’s chosen, Kasperos. We do not walk, like common menials. We soar like eagles or, fai

So, let's do this mock, where I'll use a combination of realistic scenarios and my pick choices for teams. Let's go.
1.1 - EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux - Oregon, New York Giants (VIA Jacksonville; 2022 1.1 and 2022 Third Rounder for NYG 1.08 and 1.05)
How do you even start to fix the Jaguars? Sure you'll be able to grab Kayvon Thibodeaux here, but that doesn't help what's going on the other side of the ball, with Trevor Lawrence, your generational QB getting thrown to the dogs. You take this chance to get two top 10 picks, instead of one where you can benefit from getting your team more talent off the bat. Now for the Giants: Thibodeaux is the dream. A 3-4 Chandler Jones-like Pass Rusher that can downright dominate and redefine a defensive front. Having Ojulari, Williams, Lawrence and Thibodeaux can justify the Giants trade up, and despite Gettleman being fairly incompetent, I'm sure they can throw some money at the Guards in this market to fill up that hole. (They still have their early 2nd rounder!)
Yeah I get Giants fans won't love this one, but there's not really a lot of places you can go with this team. I'd rather take a player like Kayvon and grab a stud on OL with the early second. Worth remembering that Gates IS coming back, and they can very well get an instant starter at RG in the thirties while plugging the hole at LG in free agency. That's how much the first overall pick is worth, and it may be worth it in the long run.
UPDATE: I'd probably prefer to go Neal and Linderbaum there. Phenomenal. :D
1.2 - EDGE Aidan Hutchinson - Michigan, Detroit Lions
The Lions invested a good share of their picks last year on OL/DL, but there's a slight hole of talent that remains at the EDGE Rusher position where Hutchinson would be perfect for them. He's an in-state talented pass rusher who's a fantastic leader on defence, with some phenomenal tape that shows him demolishing the passing game of opposing teams. Having him and Okwara on the line will be reminiscent of the Ojabo-Hutch duo which was the most dominant pair in this year's college football season.
1.3 - EDGE George Karlaftis - Purdue, Houston Texans
Three pass rushers in a row. OKAY. Truth is, Tytus Howa

It turns out that it’s more high humidity and rain that turns him on now. So just washing off the gunk and getting himself back to the stark shimmering white of his fur was easy enough. There was the fun game of discovering an entire series of bruises and cramps as his time in the mirror had pushed him well and truly beyond anything his body had ever undergone before. If not for his upgrades then the strain probably would have killed him.
The water seemed to wash away both the filth that had been building up on his person and the small stresses and aggravations of the day to day. He hadn’t let them do anything to him, the mission of contacting The Dauntless was too important. But it felt as if he was shucking a backpack full of rocks for all the weight it seemed to lift from him.
“So the Urthani cleanliness is somewhere between biological and psychological?” He asks himself as he steps out of the water and stretches. He had cleaned his clothing, cleaned his fur and claws and reshaped the metal of his gauntlets into less nicked and banged up defences and more ornate and still effective tools of both offence and defence.
He runs the Axiom over his body and gathers the water up to flick it into the diverted stream. It was actually rather clever. The kitchens were upstream, the dumping area downstream and between where people took their water for food and medicine and where they dumped out the trash was the bathing area. Cool water and you were responsible for warming it yourself or just letting it stay cold as Jasper had.
He glances left and catches little hint of the grime and dirt that had been building on him. During most of the bathing there had been a streak of deep brown so dark it was effectively black. How the hell he had gathered that much dust and dirt without it showing was a form of mundane magic all it’s own. Like when you brush a fluffy dog and end up with more shed fur than the dog had body mass, either before or after the brushing.
He extracts the water from his outfit and then slips it all on. He’ll need more clothing, both off and on duty. Proper armour, some real weapons with ranged options. His claws are powerful and brutal, but he’ll need to take some people alive, and he’s not sure if a bow can survive his pulling back on the string.
Still, first things first. Get in contact with The Dauntless. Coming here was a long shot, but his only one. He had actually grilled Magrica a few times and inquired with the

Lieutenant Erdni Freyanna sat down at her gunnery station on the bridge of the picket ship camouflaged just outside the atmosphere of a planet called ‘Terra'. The Sergeant that she'd relieved had the cameras positioned on a developing situation in the east of a continent called 'Europe', but nearly as soon as she’d left, Erdni was hard at work repositioning the camera to the mountainous regions of the center of Asia.
Being a gunnery officer on a surveillance ship assigned to watch without interfering above a remote world felt like the most boring job on its best days. At its worst, it was utterly mind numbing.
When she’d signed on to the planetary reconnaissance unit, she'd hoped to make first contact with a previously unknown species - or at least meet a cute guy or two.
But of course she couldn’t be that lucky. Instead, her career had positioned her above a backwater world, watching the primitive people that lived there through her cameras. These primates displayed no sign of the technological advances the Galactic Accords required in order to make first contact.
Her one respite from the boring hours was watching the team of human fighters stationed at an outpost in a nation called ‘Tajikistan’. The antics the men got up to as a result of their boredom mirrored her own desires to let loose, but as the third officer on a small starship, she had to maintain decorum.
She couldn’t help but to grow attached to them after watching them win firefight after firefight without so much as scratches. She recalled how she could barely stifle her laughter when she saw their base attacked once upon a time ago.
One of the men burst out of his tent, clad in body armor, and a pair of highly indecent shorts, carrying a massive gun to the wall of the compound. The sight from her cameras was just too funny - how could a race of sexy space hunks like this be so violent!
Her attachment only grew when she witnessed their leader working out on a strange contraption; he repeatedly pushed a metal bar which held three metal disks on each end above his chest. Yet, Terran men were of utterly opposite physiques compared to the men of her own species. Men of her species kept an objectively fragile appearance.
Over the past few weeks since she found the unit, she became privy to the analyses the translators on her screen provided of their conversations over the radio. She was especially attentive to the fighters’ reactions to a small attack on their post and their

Just a background on me, I am a philosophy major, I've studied topics of human sexuality read many books from people like Sigmund Frued. So while I can analyze certain things about noFap and its effects, it does not mean that you need to agree with me or need to have gone through similar things. Nor does it mean that I am stating a universal fact, this is just my interpretation.
So I decided to really quit porn (for good, not doing this again, and neither should anyone on this subreddit) and masturbation in the first week of November. I'd had enough. My resolve and motivation were strong and I had no reason to ever open anything remotely related to porn again.
So here's what I noticed after my 60 day. Since I had heard that 60 days of no fapping and semen retention would present life changing effects (news flash: it didn't). The first thing was that I had better self-control and willpower, especially when it came to porn, I had set my mind on not doing this again, and since I had made that my reality I had no other choice but to follow. Watching porn was not an option, so I didn't do it. This could also be because I gave myself a reason worth sticking to and distracted myself from those thoughts by giving myself other hobbies and other things to do rather than sit down and debate whether or not I need to watch. So that is,
Tip: Replace don't just REMOVE.
Most of us just stop watching porn and then keep thinking about porn. If you keep this thought in your head you are bound to fail. Just let go, it's not a part of you or your life anymore.
The second thing that I started to notice after some time was that I had a greater level of self-respect. This is because I made a commitment and I stuck to it. If you make a commitment and stick to it, your mind will subconsciously have more confidence, because it knows you will execute on your plans. This also means that you will say no to things that can potentially harm you.
It is important that you understand that this is probably the BIGGEST realistic improvement you can expect from being on noFap. I didn't experience any superpowers, there was no improved level of affection from women, that might all be a placebo, or it just be the fact that the increased level of self-respect gives you the guts and confidence to be of yourself around girls. It will also help you stand up for yourself in other situations in life,

Honestly I’m not sure why it took me 28 years into my life to finally watch Survivor but it was well worth the wait. I started off on Cagayan on Netflix last May and was hooked right off the bat. Next, I watched Pearl Islands and Cook Islands before deciding that I was going to do a proper 6-month binge of the show from season 1. At that point I began taking notes of the seasons and giving a numerical score which formed my initial list. The rankings are according to how much I enjoyed the seasons but I tried not to hold it against the seasons where I already knew the winner ahead of time due to spoilers (those seasons are denoted with an asterisk * ).
As a general note about my philosophy in Survivor, the winner is always worthy as the entire point of the game is to reach the finals and convince the jury to give you the votes. However, sometimes I might find a winner underwhelming due to an unsatisfactory narrative arc or not receiving proper attention by the edit. I personally feel like the most recent seasons have been too Advantage and Idol heavy. I would say I prefer a good storyline to a flashy move at tribal.
Feel free to comment and criticize my list as I am sure plenty of people will disagree. I am sure long-time fans will have way more knowledge and insight than me. From what I understand from other rankings I have seen online my rankings for Borneo and Fiji are probably sacrilegious. Without further ado here are my rankings of all 41 seasons of survivor:
While I admit this season might have a slight advantage since I watched it first, I still feel confident placing it first. Cagayan has a great cast with consistent entertainment all the way through; from the brains tribe debacle at the beginning to some shocking blindsides in the post-merge. The last three immunity challenges were absolute nail biters and ultimately the season had a great winner although it only happened due to a highly questionable decision by Woo/manipulation from Tony. Tony finely walks the line between genius and insane which makes for a hell of a ride.
What a great theme for a season that incorporated an absolute all-star cast and started with a banger of a pilot episode. I am normally a post-merge guy but the pre-merge

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
"What, Senator, gave your staff the authority to alter the augmented reality used by 82nd Airborne in the Tanglier Conflict?"

"If you would let me finish, the fact that the unfortunate mistake of allowing combatant overlays to be applied to civilian government officials and civilian populations through the augmented reality system is, ultimately, the fault of the Department of Defense, which did not have any safeguards for the 'skins' that were applied through the system..."
"Senator: Yes or no?"
"As I'm trying to explain, my staff and I were part of the Oversight Committee, and as such, we had total access to the entire system, including such things as mission variables, but whether or not we changed the data must be weighed against what data was altered and the ultimate decision..."
"Senator: Yes or no? Did your staff alter the augmented reality overlays so that government officials appeared to members of the 82nd Airborne division as armed enemy soldiers engaged in combat as well as civilian populations, which have been determined to be those protesting the ClearWater Drink Corporation's seizure of local water supplies?"
"I've been trying to explain to you, Counselor, that my people, at my direction, were instrumental in altering data in order to allow the military to carry out objectives important to American interests in the region that military officials may not have..."

Geography & Size
> Spread across the galaxy are over a million planets claimed in the name of the Imperium – a vast number, yet only a tiny proportion of the stellar systems in the galaxy. [--] Some Imperial worlds are clustered around relatively stable warp translation points, often branching out from key hub planets to form tightly knit alliances of trade and mutual protection, such as the Realm of Ultramar or the systems surrounding Terra. The majority of inhabited worlds, however, are separated by immense voids. Isolation and varied environments ensure a wide range of cultures and levels of technological advancement, but so long as the Imperial Tithe is paid – a charge on manpower, manufacturing and psykers levied upon every colonised planet – worlds are largely left to self-govern. Over the ages, all manner of planets have been colonised – cold, airless rocks, sweltering lush worlds and nearly everything between.

Now it faces its most desperate war for survival against an endless onslaught of horrors bent upon the absolute destruction of the Human race.

Nor are these the only threats faced by Mankind. Countless alien species teem through the darkness between the stars.
