A list of puns related to "Portland State University"
Hi there -
I'm wondering if anyone here has taken the Portland State Customer Success Certification program:

If so, what was it like? Have you found it valuable?
Thanks!
PSU grad student here. My PSU social network is pretty much limited to my lab group and a handful of other students in my program, so I'm curious how other students (PSU or other university/community college) are feeling about the decision some (all?) Oregon universities have made to push forward with plans to return to campus in September.
This afternoon PSU students received an enthusiastic email from the Provost informing us that they are still planning on a return to campus this fall. Given that Oregon had yet another record breaking day for COVID-19 cases this announcement seemed poorly timed and a bit tone-deaf. Currently, the burden of proof for the PSU "vaccine requirement" is non-existant. I literally checked a box on an online form and affirmed that I was vaccinated. So, I guess our health and safety is depending on the honor system? Nevermind that vaccines aren't offering the same level of protection against the Delta. It would seem like our risk of getting the virus is higher now than it has been at any point in the pandemic, so cramming into a poorly ventilated indoor space with 35 strangers seems like maybe a bad idea? I get that we can stay locked away in our homes forever, but maybe wait for things to mellow out a bit with the Delta? Maybe?
Here's the thing for me, I'm looking at this as a student in her 30s with a toddler at home who can't be vaccinated, so maybe I'm a bit more risk adverse than some? I assume there's plenty of other students with circumstances similar to mine or health conditions that make them more vulnerable or maybe none of the aforementioned things apply and students simply don't want to play the "f*k around and find out" game with getting long-covid or a severe case despite being vaccinated. Or you know, best case scenario maybe some of us don't want to become an asymptomatic vector and unknowingly spread it around to any unvaccinated small-humans or immune compromised folks in our orbit?
It's worth noting that I looked at the options before posting a Reddit rant and there really aren't many. PSU touts their "fully online" and "attend anywhere" courses, yet these courses are pretty limited and not exactly helpful if you're trying to fulfill specific requirements for your degree, so thanks for that super hot tip PSU!
There are three books in the series:
Textbook series description:
> This textbook is designed for beginning learners who want to learn basic Japanese for the purpose of living and working in Japan. Unlike textbooks written primarily for students, whose content largely centers on student life, this book focuses more on social and professional life beyond school. > > As a beginning level textbook, this book includes many elementary grammar patterns (Japanese Language Proficiency Test Levels 5 and 4), but the vocabulary and situations are selected specifically for working adults. Explanations are kept concise so as to only cover key points. The main focus is on oral communication and the accompanying audio is to be used extensively. This textbook can be used for self-study, as part of an online course, or as a traditional college course.
