So I literally just decided to start looking for a pocket pistol, as I had a weird incident on the road. Short story, but pulled up and left about a car length in front of me, and the guy in the right hand turn lane, a bit in front of my car, got out and started gesturing right by his car. I obviously did not, he got pissed, flipped me off, and spit and threw some trash at my car. We literally did nothing wrong in traffic.
I know it's not a real scary event, but my girlfriend was in the car, and we had no way out, driving wise, boxed in.
So anyway, I'm looking for a pocket pistol maybe 500 dollar budget. Looking for advice and practical thoughts on revolver vs semi auto, and for favorite models of people.
I have very small hands, so anything with a thin grip is good, the Beretta pico looked good in that regard. But I worry about someone being right up on me, or say opening my door in traffic, so was thinking a revolver so it will work if they are right against the barrel.
Idk, I'm still freaked out and just looking for advice.
Does anybody actually shoot #0 buckshot as their ball? Someone told me before that they will fit but I wanted to check before I buy a box. It’s been awhile since I needed to buy balls for it. Thanks!
Im leaning towards the lcp max. I like the lcr but it doesn’t seem practical.
Almost everybody says that the PBPP is straight upgrade to stock, but when comparing them, I've seen that's it's not AS MUCH better as people make it look like, (I still think it's a very good weapon, maybe even scout's best secondary, just not as overpowered as some people say) and I'll try to explain why I think that, and would really like to read your opinions on that
Healing
You got 9 bullets on your clip, and you most likely won't be hitting all 9, both because of the bullet spread and high fire rate, so you'll be healing 12~15 health in the cases where you use it
Fire Rate
While the higher fire rate certainly helps in finishing off targets that are very close to dying, I don't find it very useful in most situations since the high fire rate makes it harder to hit shots consistently
DPS/Clip
When I started using the PBPP I didn't find the smaller clip size to be much of a worry, but then I started to notice how the high fire rate inflicts it's effective DPS and the smaller clip. Since it was harder to hit the shots, I usually didn't finish my opponent before emptying my clip. And, if you changed to your pistol you probably have no ammo on the scatter and/or are far away to do effective damage with it, so having no ammo on both of your guns puts you on an a big disadvantage
Comparation to stock
In my playtime I noticed that I can hit and finish my opponents more realiably with stock, because of the bigger clip and manageable fire rate, and ended up in way less situations where I empty my clip and have not killed my enemy, which leads to my last point:
The PBPP is better if you use it in right moment (to finish off low health enemies), and never miss your shots, but that's not the case most of the time. (Even for high level players because of the high mobility of scout and bullet spread)
