We don't need no first class, or, How Petty Officer Brownnose got reassigned to Master-At-Arms.

Working in the missile magazine on the submarine tender USS BattleTender (another story) we got a new MT1 assigned to us as LPO (leading Petty Officer). PO Brownnose was an ok guy if you didn't have to work with him or associate with him or anything. You kinda knew he wasn't being straight with you all the time but that was just normal politics from lifer wannabees.

I was carrying the 3 most time-intensive collateral duties in the magazine trunk area work space and he would give me shit because I was barely keeping up with those along with my regular duties. We were all E4's and E5's working there, he just liked to screw with me I guess. One day he started blowing smoke up my ass telling me I was doing a good job. I was suspicious but left it at that. I walked out of the office to go do some work. Out in the ladderwell I remembered that there was a tool I needed in the tool crib next to the office. They share a space but you can't see into one from the other. Just then CWO Lex (not real name, nickname that I gave him that stuck) Came up the ladder from his office heading into our office. I followed him back in the door but went to the tool crib instead.

PO Brownnose must've thought they were alone and CWO Lex didn't tell him otherwise, later I was sure that he knew that BN was a lying sack and was giving him the rope to hang himself, as shortly after this Lex was instrumental in my making E5 on the next testing cycle. So BN starts telling him how I'm barely keeping up with my duties and that I need remedial training and all this bullshit, and then starts saying basically the same thing about the other good techs and leaves the idlers and butt-kissers alone. The steam starts escaping my ears and I'm starting to see red. The one thing that saved me was that instead of confronting him about it, I went and got the other guys together and told them what was going on.

The senior 2nd Class decided we needed to do a PM drag. When you work with nuclear weapons, EVERY- THING has a PM schedule and a procedure, including how many man-hours it takes to perform it. Even a half-assed tech feeling lazy can do it in less by the 2nd or 3rd time he's done it, and we've all done them a lot more than that. But now, each time we did scheduled maintenance, we took exactly how long the ticket said. When he wanted us to do them faster, we would ask if he was instructing us to shortcut the procedure. Of course he couldn't tell us that, it's

Gender: Male

Height: 6โ€™9 [7โ€™2 In Amour]

Weight: 250 Pounds [ 650 Pounds In Amour]

Profile: https://i.imgur.com/9M10aU3.jpg

Appearance: His eyes would be a pale grey and his hair a dark wet-wood brown colour. His hair would fall to either side of his head, falling down to the back of his neck. Across his jaw is a well grown beard, covering up some of the scars that ran across his cheeks and chin. His overall build was quite lean form both the physical augmentations that were done to him as well as his natural fitness level.

Personality: Percival can often be described as a very solemn character. His attitude towards most things is generally neutral, as strong emotions normally donโ€™t intertwine within his thoughts. He wouldnโ€™t be afraid to approach a new face, though he also wouldnโ€™t be too excited to meet someone new and go through the process of โ€˜friendshipโ€™. As a result, he often sticks with those that he knows, or that are in the same line of work as him.

Armour: His armour is a sort of generic looking design with no real massive parts of it. Itโ€™d be a lighter metallic grey colour with slight pale green hue to it. His undersuit is a jet black colour, fitting directly up with his body. His helmet is fitted with enhancements for a marksman such as rangefinders, thermals, and night vision. The armour covered a majority of his body, though still offered the same mobility as if he werenโ€™t wearing armour.

Equipment: His preset for a standard deployment would be a M395B Designated Marksman Rifle, along with a M6C/SOCOM strapped to his hip for close quarters. A decently sized bayonet is attached to his upper chest along with a spare pouch opposite of it. His waist is lined with several ammo pouches, carrying various types of ammunition for his current primary weapon. On the thigh opposite to his M6C are several ammo pouches, also carrying several types of .50 cal ammunition. On his back are a few pouches carrying various different pieces of equipment, ranging from a simple lockpick to a advanced telecommunication device that he took off his helmet and made handheld. He
