The Buryat Military Okrug (or district) is a state on the fringes of the Russian Republic. In the late 1940s the Republic expanded into Siberia to secure the area before warlords or the Soviet Union did first. It only got as far as the area of Buryatia when it discovered and got bogged down in a war against the Russian Fascist Party (RFP) under Vozhd (leader) Konstantin Rodzaevsky. In the Anti-Fascist Pacification Campaign that followed, the socialists of Russia, acting independent of the government, traveled to Buryatia to fight their ideological enemies. The RFP was finally defeated only with the help of the Americans in 1949.

The socialists were barred from returning to the rest of Russia and created their own organization. Led by Varlam Shalamov, the Socialist-Revolutionary Combat Organization (SRCO) (similar to the original), not only continued to fight the now underground RFP, but also turned its sights on the Russian government.

By 1952 Governor Alexy Baksheev, who rules as head of the paternal autocrat Buryatia Military Council, indifferent to the problems of the state he rules, sees his forces as well as his own authority stretched thinner and thinner daily…

Starting Situation and Set Up to Rebellion

After years of unrest, the General Command of Buryatia will make a push to end political forces that plague Buryatia once and for all. Unfortunately it does not have enough resources to fight both the RFP and the SRCO, and only one can be focused on at a time.

• If the FRP was crackdown down on, after stopping their marches, their pogroms against Jews or suspected ones, targeting their leadership and shutting down its newspapers, the crackdown will end with Operation: Netsvetov. Rodzaevsky, thought dead after the Anti-Fascist Pacification Campaign, will, along with the entire leadership of the party, be killed in a firefight. Fascism in Russia is dead.
• If the SRCO was cracked down on, after rooting out guerrillas, disbanding their unions, their communes, and their pamphlets, the crackdown will end with Operation: Vladimir. Operating mostly out of forests in the countryside, those with the highest number of SRCO activity will be burned to the ground to flush out the SRCO, and any members who flee the fires will be easy pickings for government soldiers.

I see that the population dropped from 160k in 1990 to 60k in 2000.

Was it because some local reason (like i don't know, drop in mining jobs) or was it for the general bad situation in all of Russia?

I was thinking of this after trying to find the Chukchi and Yakut words for "Siberian husky", because I wanted to add the native names for the dog breed in its Wikipedia article.

While I was doing so, I stumbled upon an article about the regional anthem of Chukotka, located in the Russian Far East. I was disappointed that there are no Chukchi-language lyrics (while other parts of Russia have translations of their anthems in their own languages), and its article didn't even exist in the Russian Wikipedia.

So is there anyone from Chukotka, and who knows the Chukchi language, who can provide the official Chukchi translation for the regional anthem? Or is the anthem only used in Russian?

Like, how separate are they from the oblast they are subordinate to? Do they have to follow laws set by that oblast?
