A list of puns related to "Murray The K"
Let me start off by saying I have no clue where to post this, but I think this will be the only sub familiar with this guy's work. K. Gordon Murray, for the uninitiated or those who need a memory jog, was a film importer from the late 50s to early 70s. He imported and dubbed the Santo lucha movies, horror films, and a handful of kid's fairytale films. Most of his output originally hailed from Mexico. Murray would purchase the North American distribution rights, rent a recording studio for a day and dub it, then slap his name on it like the whole thing was his work.
Now I love b-movies. Their smaller budgets and unfiltered creativity makes a much more original work. But K. Gordon Murray seems less the guy who let his artistic creativity flow freely, than the guy who took credit for stuff he didn't do. Now towards the end of his career he was one of several writers for a few classic b-movies like "Women Convicts" and "Shanty Tramp", but I doubt how much he actually contributed to the process, and it's definitely not what he's known for. It's his imported childrens films that his name is synonymous with. I also love some good cheese, such as "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians", and old school kaiju stuff. I also don't mind a more ridiculous plot especially when it comes to Christmas. But there is no way to explain or possibly defend the monstrosity of the only original work Murray ever did by himself. I am talking about an incredibly obscure series of 3 one reel shorts even some his fans don't know exist. In fact, 99% of people who do know these shorts know them from the RiffTrax christmas special, but my unfortunate encounter with them goes way back.
I had a VHS tape as a child that was one of those cheap public domain cartoon compilations you would find for a buck or two at Family Dollar or Woolworth's. Anyone could produce them with basically nothing other than 2 VCRs and due to the low start up and profit for these companies, they were usually fronts for other things. Sometimes PD VHS companies had "Clubs" where children sent in info for more tapes or whatnot and ended up having their info sold to pedos and pageant promoters. We had a christmas themed one of these tapes that we got second (probably third) hand. These things were always in pretty bad shape right from the factory, dubbed from 4th gen 16 or 8mm faded reels copied to VHS for 3 or 4 generations then stuck on a flimsy cassette that used to have a porno on it (used tapes were

A few days ago someone claimed that Jamal Murray is the worst second-option on a contender comparing him to how much better Khris Middleton played during the Bucks vs Nuggets game earlier this month, however, Jamal's actually playing better than Khris Middleton for the month.
I know consistency is always a concern with Jamal but he's been playing pretty consistently for the whole month, he's only had two games this month where he's scored under 20 points, and he's had five straight games where he's scored over 25. For the month of February Jamal is currently averaging 25/5/4, shooting 51% from the field, 43% from 3, and 85% from the FT line. He's averaging better numbers for the month than a lot of other "robin" second-option guys are like Tobias Harris, Khris Middleton, Porzingis, and Jaylen Brown. Jamal also has more 30 point games this season than Harris, Middleton, Brown, and AD. He also has fewer games where he's scored between 10 - 19 points than Harris and AD.
