A list of puns related to "Liquid Scintillation Counting"
So I am on the post-op full liquid diet. I don't have any issues with it just trying to keep my oz logged. I use baritastic app and it has helped alot, but I feel like I may not be correctly logging themnow that everything is liquids and not solids. Anyone using the baritastic app could give me examples on how they log theirs? It would be greatly appreciated. π
Hi all, just wanted to start by thanking everyone on this sub for your discussions and help. I'm looking to buy a diamond engagement ring, and have had so many questions already answered in previous posts here.
I've read about how the features of brilliance, scintillation, and fire and have a basic understanding of how they come about due to diamond geometry. Is there a way to select diamond proportions to get the best chance of maximising these features? or is it only really possible to determine brilliance, scintillation, and fire by looking at the actual diamond itself?
I've been using this as a guide to selecting an oval diamond: https://www.petragems.com/education/oval-cut-diamonds/
I'm looking for an oval diamond that is between 0.7 - 0.8 ct. Because this isn't a round diamond, should I be looking for a diamond more towards a length-to-width ratio closer to 1.3 for brilliance and avoid larger ratios?
Should I just be focussing on the depth and table %, girdle thickness (avoiding the thick end of the spectrum), and going for excellent symmetry and polish? Is it common to still get a dull diamond if you optimised all these geometric/proportional features?
When beginning my diamond search, I visited a few jewellers in person and looked at diamonds using the naked eye as well as a magnifying lens (first time I ever tried using one). When I looked up the GIA report numbers on a few of the diamonds that I physically looked at myself, I found that each had certain qualities that weren't exactly optimal based on the advice of this sub. Honestly, they all looked very nice and none were obvious duds when I physically looked at them myself.
Iβm young and gotta lose this weight but I donβt feel like I really have that much time. Iβm 25 and wanna fall in love but itβs hard to do without being able to initially attract a guy.
Iβve done so many diets but Iβm now 300lbs... I want this next diet to really work. Iβm getting my mind right via therapy and I might start going to a food addicts group. But now itβs time to choose a method.
surgery: effective but super intense with chance of complications. Also thereβs some foods I might not ever really be able to eat again
liquid diet: Iβll definitely binge afterwards, if I even manage to go long enough to get significant weight off
calorie counting: effective but drove me towards an eating disorder and depression
intuitive eating: might work the best, is sustainable but oh my goodness itβll take so long and time is precious.
Itβs worth noting that Iβm βrushingβ to pick a weight loss method and I feel like thereβs a lot on the line because I might want to have kids one day but again, I gotta attract a man to have that option.
Do you have any thoughts on this? Which method should I choose and how should I cope with itβs disadvantages?
Edit: You all are so awesome, I could cry. I didnβt think Iβd get such thoughtful responses, especially since itβs so long! Thank you so much truly. I (begrudgingly) will try to do CICO. Iβll just have to work through my issues with my therapist as I go I guess. Also, Iβll try to see if I can come up with ANY other motivation than a guy- Iβve tried to in the past but nothing puts my pedal to the metal like trying to do this for my future family if I ever want to have one.
Edit: yβall have been most informative about IE. Iβve never heard much criticism from it, so this has been enlightening. Unfortunately, this is the suggestion my therapist had, so hopefully sheβll respect my decision to not do that & wonβt take it personally.
I work with cyclohexane which is incompatible with seemingly all polymers expect PTFE. PTFE liners haven't worked because cyclohexane dissolves the solvent that adheres the liner to the polyethylene cap.
Does anyone know if fully PTFE caps are on the market? Or maybe even metal or glass caps?
I'm at a loss. Thanks for any help!
Iβm flying this week and not checking a bag so Iβm bringing all my stuff on the plane with me, meaning I have to put all my liquid products in a clear quart sized bag. Iβm really not sure if some of my products count as liquids. Does balm dot com count as a liquid? Iβm pretty sure stretch concealer and haloscope donβt count but I read some conflicting info online about makeup products and Iβm confused. If anyone has flown with Glossier products before please tell me your experience!

Many previous customers complained they only got one pack instead of four. Since it is Amazon, I would like to give it a try. Same as others, I only received one pack originally. I contacted Amazon and they resent it again. The four packs were wrapped in a clear plastic bag and has a big sticker said βsold as one setβ. Seem like they solved the problem.
I have been using it for a long time since it wonβt make my skin itchy. But sometimes it wonβt completely dissolve in cold water, two out of ten loads will make a mess.

so that includes soda or water - should i not drink water for an amount of time before taking it for the best effect or does it not matter?
