I keep seeing a promotion for 3 oil changes for $99 at the Toyota on Lemon Grove on the way to school, does anyone know anything about it? I couldn’t seem to get a helpful answer over the phone. ( I have an older Lexus suv that has synthetic)

Lemon Grove is filled with sets from all over san diego. they go to LG thinking it’s sweet not knowing that the neighbor down the street is a crosstown. Lemon Grove has it’s own set Varrio Lemon Grove Locos. as well as various blood/crip members. and several trece homies. LG also has a bunch of tagging krews, skate krews. and a bunch of little homies running around causing ruckus. It had a organization known as the Tycoons. a group of Bloods/Crips/Mexicans pimping minors and women. Lemon Grove sounds sweet to everyone in the southeast or anywhere else in the county. but LG is pretty active. Several labs got raided and several houses known to be stash houses for cartels got raided. vLG goes at it with every surrounding neighborhood. almost the same exact thing goes on in Spring Valley too.
I was one of the many fools that went to lemon grove covid testing site this morning and got there around 11am. And finally getting out at 2 pm. Also i guess the park officer was giving out parking tickets, for a place that barely has any lol. Sorry to those people!

Hey, I'm from LA planning to move to SD. I found that Lemon Grove is pretty close to Metro SD and affordable. I went for a drive around and I feel it needs so much work in terms of houses remodeling, roads, curbside/walk ways. However there were many homes that are remodeled and look very nice. Would you suggest moving there? What you think about the future of the city in terms of real estate, cleaning up the city, ...? How about the safety?
Property I'm currently looking at is up north by Massachusetts and Broadway

Training is a necessity for shooting effectively. Took the course at the LGR&GC yesterday taught by instructor Stan Luhr. Very focused on safety, inclusivity, and catered to the various skill levels of all present while keeping things moving. Had a med bag available.
Most (but not all) of his training is based on Frontsite's content. He placed a very big focus on grip and stance, and natural point of aim, and made references to material from Rob Leatham and the "shooting without aiming" / microaiming concepts.
This class had 9 people which allowed good individual attention. Six women, three men, ranging from early 20s to 50yo. Mixture of guns and calibers, some were stock, others had RDS and/or other mods.
We had some lulls due to hardware issues by some students (finicky 22LRs, lube your slides!), but almost all of the 4hr class was productive.
Started off with dry fire basics and weapons handling and draws. Then methodically proceeded to live fire (at 3 and 5 yards), trigger control, "aim small miss small", controlled pairs, transitioning between head and center mass shots, close contact drills, verbal commands, and rapid fire.
My favorite part was an individual analysis of a draw + controlled pair drill at 5 yards, where the class took turns observing one another and identified areas to work on. We got about a dozen turns per person, with a goal of 2.3s total for the drill. No one was perfect, but at the end of the exercise we were all within the 2.3s goal, and got someone from 1.7s draws to a .98s!
From a SLS/ALS 6360 (level 3 retention holster), I was consistently getting 1.17s to first shot with a .24s split, but the best run was a 1.0s w/ .2s split. About 70% of the shots were A zone, so definitely room to improve, but to be put in that situation, where everyone was analyzing your every movement, was both exciting and humbling, and a fantastic learning experience.
(I ended up taking off the hood towards the latter part of the class as Stan proposed that was limiting me from getting under a second. Also, the Nub Mod from OT Defense is practically a requirement with ALS & SLS holsters.)
Total round count for the course, if you were going just doing the bare minimum, was about 100rds. But most of us shot above that when doing multiple iterations of each drill.
Gear wise, all you need is a good belt, OWB holster, two mag holders and three mags, ammo, PPE and a hat. But make your life easier by bringing additional mags (so you can do mo

No one else except the instructor and I showed up (thunderstorm earlier in the day scared the other students away I guess) so it basically became a private training.
G19 with a Ranger Proof Hybrid trigger and 124gr S&B. Was consistently doing 0.9s - 1s draws to first shot from OWB (ALS retention); splits were consistently 0.19s - 0.21s. Accuracy at 5, 10, and 15 yards with time pressure was better too (~90% A zone) So improvement since the last clinic...dry firing pays off!
After observation from warmup, since I was set with all of the fundamentals we went straight to new stuff: cadence and follow-up shots, multi-target acquisition, variations of close contact drills, sul position, shooting from various types of cover, shooting on the move, and irregular shooting postions.
As the evening went on we did a little low-light stuff; my TLR-1s was barely usable at 10 yards, and even worse when the fog rolled in...can't wait for the Cloud Defensive pistol light. He did have some comments about WMLs that I didn't agree with, but he also admitted that it wasn't his forte so I appreciate his honesty.

A lot of content covered, with a lot of different things to practice.
Again, this was a clinic of 4-5 hours versus a day or multi-day training course. I got exposure to a lot of concepts and a few iterations to test those concepts, debrief and discuss, a couple more iterations to check knowledge, then was given standards to aim for for next time. If you haven't had any formal training before, and/or have only shot at on a static range, this is a useful learning experience.
This was definitely not a beginner course...I guess this time it could have been since I was the only one, but he said that if other people showed up and they had really poor fundamentals he keeps them off the line if everyone else is shooting at a much higher level (the Basic Clinic is on the 2nd Friday of each month.)
Last bit, be careful driving home, the winding roads + fog was no joke.
From my understanding it was a click mixed with blacks, whites and mexicans foos. Word on the street is they claiming its a gang now and they flagging yellow rags for "Lemon Grove". I'm also hearing that they claiming it in the pen. Idk who or what they running as in the pen. Idk if they beef with LG13, Idk who they beef wit but I know they real close with skyline piru since they are literally one street away. Anybody got more info on em?
A 95 foot faux pine tree cell tower was recently installed on the grounds of the Lemon Grove Lutheran Church at 2055 Skyline Dr., Lemon Grove, CA. The tower is owned by Vertical Bridge of Boca Raton, FL. The application to the City said that it was to be used by T-Mobile to fill a coverage gap, and could accomodate two additional carriers in the future. Initial test indicate that it has bands 2, 66, 71, and n71. I am not sure where the coverage gap referred to is located, as the immediate neighborhood had a solid signal, including n41, from the Tmo cellsite located 3/4 miles to the South. Of course, this is a hilly area, so maybe there were weak spots to the North and West. Suprised a new site wouldn't have n41, but maybe the equipment wasn't available.
