A list of puns related to "Korfball"
Alright, so I've been doing some research on Korfball and how it came to be seen as a "fair" mixed sport where two mixed teams duke it out against each other but with each half fighting the other half (the girls stop the girls and the boys stop the boys)... until I came across an article on "Women's Korfball" or Dameskorfbal as it's called in the Netherlands.
So apparently, this was a version of the sport featuring only girls/women that was/is played almost exclusively in the Catholic majority regions of the country, where gender segregation runs much stronger than in the agnostic/protestant bits.
The reason for the research was that one day, I saw a group of boys playing korfball in a public court, in a park in Cartagena de Indias (I'm currently and for the foreseeable future, living in Colombia) and they stood out because they weren't playing with any girls. It was just boys.
When I thought of this, it sort of made sense: Colombia is still a majority Catholic (if liberally inclined) country. It made sense that the same gender segregation inclinations that made Women's Korfball a thing in the south of the Netherlands would be prevalent here... but the five instances I've known of Korfball here have all involved all male teams, whereas the ones I've seen from South Holland and Brabant are all female.
I dug further and apparently, Heeren Korfbal or "Men's Korfball" was a thing at some point in the Netherlands, to the point of an organization (the NHKB) or "Heeren Korfbalbund" and even a Catholic spin off emerging in the 1920s.
Now, I know this probably pertains more to a korfball subreddit, but apparently, single sex korfball is a patently Dutch thing, so my question is the following:
Have you seen/heard of/know of any all male korfball team in the Netherlands? I don't care if they are an school-age/amateur/historical team, or if they were a one off team formed for one game or even if they were just a group of friends you saw playing in the park/gym/wherever. I just want to know if men/boys playing korfball without female participation is something that has happened/happens in the Netherlands.
I dug into all the newspaper records but most of what I can find is just descriptions or chronicles, so I'd like to know from word of mouth if this has really happened or I just misread something. I tried searching if all boys schools had teams but found nothing, nor standalone pictures of Dutch single sex teams that aren't female instead of male.

Hi guys,
I'm currently running a competition trying to get videos of activities people have been doing during lockdown to keep active. It would be great to see some Korfball videos!
Afternoon korfers!
Manchester Hawks are hosting an outdoor tournament on 27th July! The tournament will be standard korf rules (8 player teams), and we should have 4 pitches so plenty of game time for all.
We're keen for lots of teams to enter, so if you can get 8 players together then come along! It'd be extra great to see some teams that we don't usually get a chance to play against make an appearance. Come and enjoy the famous Manchester sun and a fun filled day of korfball!
For more details or to enter you can catch me on here, email manchesterhawks@hotmail.co.uk or or reach out to the fb/twitter pages.
Hopefully meet some of you there!
Rob

Hi All.
I play Korfball for a club in Manchester UK and we are looking for an international korfball tournament to play in this summer. Anyone know any where?
Thanks
Hi, I started playing Korfball at university this year and have really enjoyed it. My aim is to help take my university team to the national cup next year.
I wondered if anyone here knew about any korfball sessions that ran over the summer period between July and September in London that I and maybe some university friends could attend?
On a side note I'm quite sad that this subreddit is very empty.
Cheers,
MagicFridgeMan
