So back in October, I made a thread uncovering comments from a 4chan user who had somehow watched a rough cut of NWH back in June-August, most of this thread turned out highly accurate to what was in the final film outside of May’s death being tweaked slightly. He also had some things to say about Multiverse of Madness back in August.

Recently a test screening for Multiverse of Madness allegedly took place. Grace Randolph I believe first reported on it and KCWalsh seemed to confirm he heard the same thing and they’ve been teasing stuff on twitter, she said that there was an unreported cameo that was a “fan dream come true” and she hopes it doesn’t leak.

Since then there has been a lot of talk doing the rounds about John Krasinski playing Reed Richards in MoM, with the Illuminerdi posting an article about it and now MyTimeToShineHello is saying she heard the same thing.

So I thought it would be a good time to make a thread about this other comment I found from last year, with a similar user responding to a thread specifically about those MoM reshoots:

What catches my eye here is for one, the stuff about Xochitl Gomez not testing well is something the original NWH leaker mentioned and they got everything right. Then John Krasinski as Reed is a pretty random thing to guess for a MoM variant added in the reshoots, as most people weren‘t saying Mister Fantastic was on the Illuminati back

Hi, earlier this year I managed to pick up a copy of Andrew Hemingway's 2002 book, Artists on the Left: American Artists and the Communist Movement, 1926-1956 through inter-library loan and was amazed to discover the extent to which CPUSA's cultural programs were prior to WW2. Unfortunately, a significant portion of Hemingway's book is dedicated to mostly discussing the New York chapter of the John Reed Clubs—and for good reason! It was the original club created by the editors of New Masses and even grew to the point where a 'John Reed Club School of Art' briefly existed as well. The JRCs were a whole network of clubs spanning multiple cities across the country, though; they wanted to use 'art as a weapon' for the working class (as opposed to 'art for art's sake')

I've been slowly realizing that you can't learn much about early trends in American modern art without reading some interesting factoids about CPUSA-adjacent involvement. For example: Jackson Pollock, an artist every philistine communist loves to dismiss (>!because the CIA covertly funded exhibitions of his work through the Congress for Cultural Freedom!<), worked in David Alfaro Siqueiros' workshop (>!arguably the most communist of the big three Mexican Muralists!<), was friends with Philip Guston (>!whose earliest commissions came from the Hollywood John Reed Club during the Scottsboro Trials!<) and was mentored by Thomas Hart Benton (>!one of the big three Regionalists, who had an infamous falling-out with the New York art scene partly due to criticism from John Reed Club members!<)!

So here's what I wanna know, if possible:

1. Both the national office and New York district of CPUSA are headquartered in Chelsea, a couple blocks away from so-called 'blue chip' art galleries led by the likes of Larry Gagosian, David Zwirner, etc; and as far as I know, y'all still lease out the first floor of your building to a Blick Art Materials. Hi guys I am looking for a training partner for the John Reed Gym at Kottbusser Damm. I am 33, German and I just moved to Berlin. I have over 10 years of training and nutrition experience, happy to share my Bro-Science. Because of my work life, I unfortunately no longer have the opportunity to connect to my former performance :D I go, if job related possible, 3x a week(Mon, Tue, Thu or We) between 5 and 6 o'clock to the gym. I'm trying to get back the 175€ from the 7 months I paid the gym that I was not able to use. Mcfit claims they have not broken any laws and that I get the time not able to be used after the contract ends, but why would I want to keep going if I end the contract? So I asked if I can use the credit I have NOW or to give me the money back. I have sent them several emails stating this (auf deutsch) but always get the same canned response:

Has anyone else succeeded in getting money back? With RightNow they have offered to give me 70€ for them to do some kind of class-action proceeding and give up my right to ask for money from them, not sure if I should just take it and be done with it or if there is something else I can do without having to hire a lawyer.

What would’ve happened if somehow the executive orders of either president actually stayed in place instead of getting barred by congress and the courts? Would these orders have actually changed anything if they were legally supported before MacArthur couped either of them?
