Just browsing YouTube and a hilarious local ad came on for James River Jeep in Ozark. Basically it’s a dude in a wig claiming to be James River and he goes off on a rant about how James River was named after him. Absolutely hilarious but I can’t find it posted anywhere online. Anyone else seen this gem?!
Best part of the ad is at the end he says, you’ve probably found dealers you wanna cuss, but I’m a dealer you can trust XD

I recently moved to the area with my SO to be closer to their family. They attend JRC and it’s certainly very different compared to the church I used to go to. I have plenty of issues with it but I haven’t seen anything shady.
However, every time I mention it to friends that don’t go to JRC the initial reaction is “Ooooooooh the culty megachurch” or something similar. Is there something I’m not seeing? I know the preacher, John Lindel, has said some dumb stuff but honestly that’s par for the course as an evangelical preacher. I’ve just never noticed anything malicious about it.
TL:DR Friends called JRC a cult and kinda shady, don’t understand why.
Edit: Just to be clear I’m not saying JRC is alright and I don’t get why people are skeptical. It just seemed like I typical mega church. Kinda skeeze but harmless. But y’all are making some good points.

Yesterday I ran the upper and lower James for the first time with a great group of guys, and it was a blast! (First experience with real whitewater)
I’m trying to keep track of what rapids I had to swim and roll on, but I can’t find a clear map.
I’m pretty sure I combat rolled twice on Cemetery, then got blasted out my kayak on the last rapid (maybe called) Pipeline?
