A list of puns related to "Intermediate School"
I know many private schools have uniform policies. But it seems quite rare for a public school at any level, elementary, middle, or high school.
I know schools have done it in the past to attempt to curtail fighting/disobedience. Campbell HS had uniforms for a little while. But Pearl City doesnβt or didnβt seem to have too many disciplinary problems. Is it just to hold students to a higher standard? To prevent bullying or favoritism from students toward others? Iβm sure there must be other public schools, at any level, on Oahu or the neighbor islands that have uniform requirements. I know every school technically has a dress code, but uniforms are rare.
Please help me :( I am so defeated right now. This week our teacher assigned us a video collab project with 8 different classes. The scary part it is weighted so heavily. If I fail this project, I might as well go back a year. We only have 2 weeks to make it and I am losing my mind trying to find a required college-level topic for my video. The topic can range from all STEM areas as long as itβs an intermediate college-level topic. I figured I might just go do a video regarding marine biology or anything regarding nature but Iβm stressed and pre-occupied with other work right now. Please, help meπ’
I would like to teach intermediate grades in high school, 9 and 10. As the title suggests, my teachable is geography. I also have a few AQs, like Special Education part 1 and English Language Learners part 1. In addition, I have six years of teaching experience in Taiwan at an international school, four of which were grades 7 and 8 geography.
My questions are:
with this teachable, geography, and not having senior level certification, will I be hireable for an Ontario high school?
which courses will I be able to teach other than geography?
which AQs should I take to make my rΓ©sumΓ© more desirable for Ontario high schools? (I meet the qualifications for senior level geography, history, and intermediate history)
Thanks for your time.
Iβm Canadian (Ontario) and I went to a very rural K-8 elementary school that only had about 100 students. I know a lot of other people that also went to K-8 instead of middle school that arenβt from rural areas. I know some people that did go to intermediate school, but itβs mostly people that live in the heart of their city. Iβve always thought (just from personal experience) that maybe middle school was less common in Canada and more of a US thing. Basically, what Iβm asking is, did you go to intermediate/middle school? If so, where are you from? What kind of place did you live (urban vs rural) How old are you? And whatever else you want to add thatβs relevant. :)
At first, I'm german, so don't mind if my English isn't the best. For me, exploring was and is the key element in this game. 400billion systems. Come on, that was / is amazing. I loved to play with the basic and intermediate discovery scanner. Use a ship with good visibility, jump in a system, trigger the impulse. I searched for bodies while flying perpendicular to the orbital lines. I catched bodies who looked like stars but were moving compared to the background. I loved that shit. Every system was a challenge and the best thing : after hundreds of systems i got a feeling for the huge distances. When I found bodies with the discovery scanner, I was able to identify itself by the sound in the system map . The game didn't give me more informations about these bodies. I had to fly to them. But I was able to hear if it was a full metal, ammonia, water, earthlike or gas world with life. I loved the old way of exploring.
And now I ask you. Is it possible to play as an explorer and have this old feeling I described above. Any idea to get it back. Pls help me :(
Iβve tried twice already on r/whatsthatbook and so far no dice. I distinctly remember a passage I had the very end of one of the chapters about how one of the drones that was not supposed to have any feelings ended up feeling emotional pain and trigger warning Kills himself. I think the quote went something like β and he dug and dug with that broken shard of glass until he died.β
I remember that The book is very similar to βwe βand βbrave New World β but itβs not either of those. Itβs also not βAnthemβ by Ayn Rand. The helpers/drones have numeric names, and Iβm pretty sure the βregularβ people had actual names.
I really have a strong memory of this, like, anti-smoking animation (CG) they played for us in health class. I saw it in the early 2010s, maybe 2015 at the very latest, but it was very clearly from as early as the mid 90s, and had an almost video brinquedo quality to it.
It started with a kid moving into a new neighborhood, and he's quickly befriended by an anthropromorphic cigarette. The cigarette may or may not have worn sunglasses. Later on, the cigarette takes the kid to a cigarette disease themed carnival type thing, which was located in a kind of pink / maroon haze. In order to get in and ride the attractions (There were three attractions), the kid had to pay by putting a cigarette into a little hole in a booth. The kid saw some other kids stuck in some of the attractions (One was a lung shaped tar pit, if I recall correctly), and then rescued them, and the walking cigarette grew in size but got stuck in the enterance gate.
I think it may have been on VHS, but I'm not certain. It was so bizarre, and couldn't have been more than something like 40 minutes. Thank you so much for your help!
Iβm an experienced video editor, with enough experience in AE to do some simple explainer video-type animations, screen replacement with Mocha, etc. so Iβm just familiar enough with AE to be dangerous. I want to spend 2022 elevating my mograph/compositing game, and I have a few projects early next year that will require animation beyond my current skill level, so I want to focus on that first. Iβve been looking at Benβs βMaster Motion Designβ course, and SOMβs βAnimation Bootcamp.β Benβs one of my favorite motion artists, so Iβm leaning that way but Iβm wondering if anyone here has experience with either of these courses, or recommendations for others I havenβt seen?
Background: I'm trying to find a solo to play for UIL Solo & Ensemble. I've been playing for around 5 years and last year I played La Folia from Suzuki 6, which was a little challenging for my level I guess so I'd prefer pieces of similar level for this year. I'd prefer if the was not all works of a single composer but rather a medley of different composers from different times so I can experiment outside of my UIL solo. Thanks for the help in advance!
Edit: here is the link to the prescribed music list- https://www.uiltexas.org/pml/
Edit 2: Oh yeah forgot to mention Im searching for a grade 1 piece
Thanks!
Hey I was just wanting to gather a resource for/from various different glass artists and I was wondering what everyone's experience with schooling or classes on glass and what/who they recommend. It can be anywhere in the world, from short few day seminars to long term scientific glass education just wanted to find a lot of different possible classes and courses I could possibly invest in to try and help my skills. Thanks in advance and for being an awesome community!
Just saw the article on KBTX, does anyone know whatβs going on?
When learning a guitar piece, would you make adjustments while learning the piece, or learn the whole piece first before making adjustments?
