A list of puns related to "Inclinometer"
Anyone have a altimeter / inclinometer from 84-89 pickup or 4Runner?

Hi everyone.. I just had a question.. how accurate does polar alignment need to be for a 30s exposure with the Samyang 135mm?
The reason I am asking is because my balcony is north facing and I am in the Southern Hemisphere, so my view for polar aligning is obstructed.
After reading about alternative ways to polar align, it seems the most practical way is using a compass and inclinometer but this is not 100% accurate and likely to be a few degrees off. I know that I could also use the Polar Align Pro app, but again, not sure how accurate this is.
Thank you for your help.
The EDXI inclinometer transmits measurements of inclination at an output rate of 60 samples per second. This is the default setting for the output rate and cannot be changed. This data may be accessed by Telnet connection into the sensor at port 10001. The data is packetized into 7 hexadecimal bytes. X and Y axis data are transmitted in different packets as follows: <Prefix><UAID ><D0><D1><D2><AUX><Checksum>
My project goal is to write a python program to get the decimal inclination values real time data.
my steps are as this :
2)from the massively and messy data, filter and take only D0 D1 D2 for conversion. (not begin yet)
3)conversion code (DONE)
I'm currently stuck at telnetting my device in python... this is my code below just to make sure there's connection.. but it's not working, error says "No connection could be made because target machine actively refused it"
import telnetlib
with telnetlib.Telnet('192.168.1.190', 10001) as tn:
tn.interact()
I've tried telnetting in windows command prompt to make sure connection is ok :
"telnet 192.168.1.190 10001" telnet was successful and this is the results https://i.stack.imgur.com/m7Ofz.png alot of ASCII data coming in..
I really appreciate all of your help and advice :)
Thank you so much in advance.
Was looking for a cheap digital inclinometer. Figured HF would have them cheap.
Nope. $37! https://www.harborfreight.com/digital-angle-gauge-63615.html
Even worse is you can get a Klein at HD for $30.
We corelate inclinometer data to the vertical component of a rotating water control gate. Full vertical generates 4.5v and fully horizontal is 2.5v. When we enter full vertical via our web interface the gate stops 14 degrees short at 2.96v and when we enter full horizontal it goes to neg 1.5 degrees and 4.55v. This is less than a full 90Β° rotation. We have tested numerous inclinometers and are getting consistent readings. This is a new issue on an older product. Our hardware supplier recently moved us to different boards and the issues seems to correspond with that move, although that correlation is not certain. Any suggestions appreciated!
I'm doing some erosion research in different mixtures of trees/shrubs. All my plots need to be a uniform slope. Since I'm at my field site, my major professor said I could order any inclinometer "as long as it's not from Amazon."
So - what are your favorite inclinometers?
As part of a project assignment i have to find an alternativ for a MEMS inclinometer in a marine stabilisation system. The only real alternative i found was an electrolytic inclinometer, but i have problems finding actuall advantages from it other then less uncertainty from vibration. on the flip side the MEMS beeing cheeper, more sensitive,, etc. spesificly i had this source:
Are electrolytic just plain outdated or is there somthing i havent found?
thanks
searching for a tool I saw once.
It was an inclinometer specifically designed for classroom rocket launches. You would aim the device, like a gun, at the rocket, and pull a trigger. The trigger would release a lever attached to the device, that would rotate along a protractor and stop when perpendicular to the ground. When you release the trigger it would hold the lever in place, and it would align itself along a protractor so a person could read the angle they "shot" at the rocket.
I usually make my students use handmade ones, but I'm ready to upgrade; during covid I haven't spent a dime on my science budget, so I'm ready to splurge on a few toys.
Title says it all.
Also looking for perfect SR5 seats (front and back), interior tailgate window weatherstripping and a clean rear bumper (no dents please). Willing to throw in a tube of Bath & Body Works hand cream and four (4) face masks of varying colors if it helps. Also got a candle to give.
Lemme know lol
Anyone have a suggestion for an inclinometer for Christmas gift?
An inclinometer measures the angle of a slope, the tilt of an object, and the elevation of an object. They are also referred to as clinometers, tilt indicators, sensors or meters, slope gauges, gradient gauges or meters, or pitch & roll indicators. There are many uses for inclinometers in several industries. Here we list a few of the most common uses.

In Navigation inclinometers are used to measure latitude and the angle of the earth in respect to a horizontal plane.
Many Car Manufacturers use inclinometers in their safety systems to monitor tilt during turning or even when parked.
Satellite TV installers use inclinometers to make sure the angle of the dish is optimal in respect to the satellite.

In the shipping industry, inclinometers are used to detect tilt during transportation of cargo that must remain in a certain position.
As you can see, there are a myriad of uses for inclinometers, and I have only touched on a few of them in this post. Many inclinometers are manufactured and built in the United States and customized to specifications supplied by the c
