I'm looking for something similar. I've watched yanxi palace and I didn't really like it, wasn't a big fan of the comedy vibe. I've also watch Mi Yue, but I prefer something that focuses more on the concubines. I started watching Empress of China, but I couldn't stand how "perfect" the main character was made out to be, so I'm looking for something similar to Ru Yi and Zhen Huan. Any recommendations appreciated.
What is the benefit to such a restriction on an otherwise intelligent being?
Realized as much as eithan annoys him, naru huan grew up like oz. He was raised to be the only overlord in his country + the responsibility of ruling is a lonely existence. It seems like eithan tries to be the friend / annoying companion he wished he had.
How do you guys think Emperor Naru Huan is doing knowing that he drop kicked the interdimensional avatar of destruction who was just trying to be his friend?

Furthermore, if he could, it would have made a lot of sense for the valar to just sic huan on sauron in the third age. Zero collateral.

Not a lot to say about this but I havenโt seen him discussed. He made it all the way to Overlord in an Empire with low madra quality. He didnโt know Sage was possible at Overlord let alone Underlord. Without sufficient resources or information he still risen above everyone around him. (One big flaw I just realized is his family lol. Still posting this though)
