In 1992, 23-year old Tara Breckenridge worked as a waitress at the Menโs Club, an upscale strip club located in the southwest section of Houston. Shortly after midnight on August 4, the manager announced that even though the place closed at 2:00 AM, he was planning to send two waitresses home early because business was slow. To everyoneโs surprise, Tara volunteered to leave early, which seemed uncharacteristic for her since she was always keen to work her full shifts to make as much money as she could. Tara officially clocked out at 12:29 AM and was escorted by security to her 1986 Pontiac Fiero in the parking lot. After she drove away, Tara was never seen alive again.
At the time, Tara lived with her boyfriend, Wayne Hecker, and her income supported both of them since Wayne was usually unemployed. After spending the night at a pool hall, Wayne claimed that he returned to their apartment at around 5:00 AM and discovered that Tara was not there, which compelled him to go searching for her. At 7:00 AM, Wayne came across Taraโs Pontiac Fiero on the shoulder of the West Loop North Freeway, which she normally drove on her route home from work. The vehicle was locked, the car alarm and flashers were off, and it would turn out the alternator belt was missing. While there was no sign of any struggle, Wayne noticed that Taraโs mace was still inside the car even though she always carried it around for protection. When police launched a missing persons investigation, they soon placed their focus on Wayne, as his relationship with Tara was troubled at the time. She often spoke of leaving Wayne and two weeks before she went missing, Tara visited her family in her hometown of Del Rio and they believed something was not quite right with her.
The pool hall which Wayne frequented was located 15 minutes north of the Menโs Club and three miles away from where Taraโs car was found. According to witnesses, Wayne left the pool hall shortly after midnight on August 4 and did not return until around 1:45 AM. Since Wayne apparently had trouble accounting for his whereabouts during that time period, police could not rule him out as a suspect in Taraโs disappearance. Another potential suspect was a regular patron at the Menโs Club, who seemed to have an obsession with Tara and often left her $100 tips. On Friday April 24, 2020 a 1 minute video clip was released that allegedly includes evidence to support Alexandra (Tara) Readeโs account of being sexually assaulted in 1993 by then-Senator Joe Biden. The clip is of an episode of Larry King Live that the Intercept claims is from August 11, 1993 and includes Larry, the host, introducing his guests, Howard Baker, Richard V. Allen, and Lois Romano, before proceeding to answer a phone call from a woman in San Luis Obispo, California. The woman asks a question about what her daughter, a former staffer for a โprominent senatorโ, should do to โget through with her problemsโ in Washington DC besides go to the press, which her daughter did not do โout of respect for [the senator].โ While there is no direct evidence in the clip itself to prove that the caller is Ms. Readeโs mother or that the problem she mentions in the call is a sexual assault, people are claiming it is proof of Joe Bidenโs wrongdoing. There are reports that Ms. Reade had previously mentioned that her mother had called into the Larry King show at some point about the matter and that her mother had lived in San Luis Obispo at the time (havenโt found my own evidence of these yet. If someone has primary sources, please share). The date of August 11, 1993 would place the call right at the end of Tara Readeโs official employment with the Biden senatorial staff and a couple of months after she said she began volunteering for the RFK memorial (June 1993), which would definitely lend credence to the claim that the caller is Reade's mother.
Some suspicious things about the video: the full episode is extremely hard or potentially impossible to find online. The Google Play page for the Larry King Live show (no episodes of which are available...) includes 1 episode from the 1987 season and the all episodes from August 1992 onward until 2010, however in the page for the 1993 season, there is no August 11 episode listed. This is strange as August 11, 1993 was a Wednesday of no importance so there was most probably a regularly scheduled episode taped. Why it does not appear on the Google Play site is a mystery. A search for the names of the guests (Baker, Allen, Romano) does not turn up any results in any episode on Google Play (there are, however many episodes with no descriptions, so that

Chanting Tara mantra helpful in containing the spread of epidemics like Coronavirus: His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Chinese devotees
Dharamshala: A group of Chinese Buddhists and devout followers of His Holiness the Dalai Lama from mainland China sought His Holinessโ spiritual advice on ways to contain the spread of Coronavirus, a recently discovered airborne disease which has gripped national attention as well as globally after it spread rapidly across China and to other parts of the world.
In response, His Holiness told them that chanting Tara mantra as much as possible could help contain the spread of the epidemic. His Holiness has also shared a voice clip of his esteemed self chanting the Tara mantra. Listen to the audio here. However, His Holinessโ advice is based on the Buddhist traditional beliefs and is aimed at Buddhist believers only.
Regarding this health crisis, Kalon Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, Department of Religion and Culture, CTA responded to the press at the Republic day celebrations at CTA headquarters, wherein he expressed his condolences for those who had died from the disease while hoping for โthe Chinese people and governmentโs ability in controlling it soonโ.
He cited the โreported link between the large scale-wildlife trade in China and the rise of the epidemicโ and โthe necessity to study the underlying causes of this health crisisโ while wishing the Chinese speedy resolution to the crisis.
