Temple Row in Sailors Snug Harbor in Staten Island New York. Five early 19th century Greek Revival structures were part of a larger complex that was originally a retirement community for sailors of the American Navy. They are now museums and one of the masterpieces of this form of architecture.

The Tsar has passed a law declaring that the construction of all Post-Modernist architecture is now Illegal. All newly built buildings must resemble the traditional architecture of the 1800s backwards while still complying with safety regulations. [ASK] What architectural style is this? It's the 1912 Wilson Mansion in Palmetto Bluff, SC. I'd say Greek revival with Paladian accents with a little bit of thee McMansion look but idk. I've been stumped for a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated! (it's for an architectural write up)

1850s Greek Revival - replacing knob and tube/fixing cast iron plumbing?
We are under contract for a rambling Greek Revival/farmhouse built in 1850 in New England. Had the inspection on Friday, and in addition to the things we expected (soft floorboards, porch needs replacing, window/door issues, standard old house cosmetic stuff) the inspector found a good amount of knob and tube wiring and potential leaking/clogging with some cast iron plumbing in the house. We knew this was a fixer going into it but were not anticipating replacing plumbing/electrical in year one. Anyone have experience replacing sections of knob and tube or reworking very old plumbing and have a sense of cost and timing? Has anyone replaced knob and tube over time (like going room to room as you renovated rather than all at once)? We plan to go back to the seller to try to get repair credit or lower the price but also want to understand what we're getting into. I also understand the labor shortage and that it may be a while to fix these things so want to be realistic. Thanks!

Closing on this house next month. Date is 1902 or 1906. I’m assuming Greek revival style, but any advice on which era to focus on for decorating? Abandoned Greek Revival Building near where I live being built in 1830 and is apart of an abandoned mental hospital campus, the building is soon to be restored and as you can see in the photo the vines on the facade that have been growing since it's closure in 2006 have finally been cut
