A list of puns related to "Exhaust Gas Recirculation"
Hey all,
My check engine light keeps coming on throwing these codes:
Spn 412 fmi 0 and spn 412 fmi 2
I have a 2014 mack with an mp8. I have replaced all the following:
Injectors Egr cooler Dpf filter Egr temperature sensor
And a whole bunch of other stuff.
I've had mack clear the codes and reset the parameters in the system but the codes keep coming back and derating me about 25%. It takes me FOREVER to reach 60mph.
Basically mack wants me to play musical parts and just keep replacing shit until the codes go away but thats about to break my bank.
Any advice?
Hey everyone. So my 2019 1500 classic ecodiesel has a recall on Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler.
I'm not a fan having people messing around with my vehicles and wanted to find out if anyone already handled this recall? Any issues afterwards? Was it complex to address? Any changes to truck behavior? Anything you would've done differently or recommend?
Thanks.
I have had an engine light coming off and on for 12 years now usually just unplug the battery and drive it a bit before i smog, but its kinda annoying. I was wondering if I had a hole with a hook in it from a cargo strap in the top of my gas tank could this be the cause of the error codes? Since a gas cap is one of the possible reasons its because my tank isn't possibly sealed. If you don't think its the hole in the tank what else might be the likely culprit on a 20 year old truck.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 55%. (I'm a bot)
> South Korea said Monday that it will fine BMW 11.2 billion won and file a criminal complaint with state prosecutors over an allegedly botched response to dozens of engine fires in the country.
> After a five-month review, South Korea's Transport Ministry concluded that the BMW deliberately tried to cover up technical problems and was slow to recall the vehicles.
> The ministry has asked prosecutors to investigate BMW for delaying acknowledgement of the issue on purpose and dragging their feet on the recall.
> In August, the German carmaker announced a recall of 480,000 cars with the same EGR cooler issue for Europe and some Asian countries - including South Korea.
> In South Korea, six out of 10 imported cars are from Germany.
> BMW sold nearly 39,000 vehicles in the first six months of this year, according to the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association.

Is first step with this code to look inside EGR tubes and clean them assuming they are gunked up? And is replacing EGR valve a waste...?
Has anyone worked in a kitchen that has used the Rational Ultravent Plus Recirculation hood as it's exhaust system?
I'm wondering how good is this product? How well has it eliminated and/or prevented cooking odour and moisture from being in the environment?
I'm building a restaurant in a location that makes it a bit difficult to get a type 1 or 2 hood in there (not impossible, just more expensive), but luckily I should be able to get away with just the Ultravent Plus recirc hood, if I want to. My mechanical engineer is just working on getting it signed off on with the city inspector.
I am planning on being quite high volume, 2 to 3M sales, and I'm wondering with that volume, will it create heat/odour/moisture that will be too much for the ultravent to handle? The kitchen is going to be semi-open in the front. I'm at the point in my budget where obviously I prefer to save the approximate $25K I'd be spending on a type 2 hood, but at the same time, if I did invest that money in the initial build out to make it more comfortable. Will I have saved myself long term comfort and overall hassle. As opposed to finding out I need it afterwards, and likely spending more time/money to install it after operations have started.
Thanks!
I have two questions:
Is this serious enough to fix it soon? (kinda tight on cash).
Would this be causing my car to periodically release grey smoke (kind of like burned oil) out of the exhaust pipe while the car is running?
Thanks soo much!! Any help/advice would be much appreciated. My car is a 1996 Acura RL btw.
Eather way I braught it to my mechanic they said it's the oil because I have an oil leak and that's the smell. But I don't think so I know what that smells like and before anything can heat up you can smell it emmediatly. If you have windows up it's like damn why does it smell like exhaust...so idk what to do I want to keep the car but I feel bad calling the mechanic and asking them about it again they replaced the cabin air filter and said it was oil leak but I just don't buy it. I think I'm going to just ask them if they can smell what I smell when I start it with windows down? They may have missed it. Also when I put in reverse the smell goes to it's worst. Thanks again guys.
Iβll be driving, nice, warm and comfy with heat on....then the recirculating turns off and allows outside dirty air in and Suddenly Iβm being choked by dirty air. I turn off the recirculation then 5 minutes later itβs allowing outside air in again!
okay...thatβs annoying. I turn off heat and block outside air...5 mins later cold air is coming in!
Also other times when heat is on it doesnβt even allow me to turn off the outside air coming in! Just flashes . Driving me fucking crazy this bullshit behavior. Any hardware way to block these vents! Itβs driving me crazy.
Today I was working on a 90% Lennox. Flames were pulsating and snuffing out intermittently. No pressure switch faults and gas valve held 24v throughout. With my combustion analyzer in My ppm in the flue would go from 35 ppm to 1035 ppm during pulsation. It was a windy day as well. Some dumbass installed the exhaust pipe termination wrong. Boss seems to think this is from too much combustion air coming in. What are your thoughts. Would recirculating exhaust into your burner box cause these symptoms? I can post a picture as well if needed
It just does. Its up there with some of the better flowers and foods in terms of smells. I know it is pollution and it is bad for my health, but it still smells nice in a weird way.
This opinion might not be as unpopular as I might think, sorry if it is not unpopular.
Sorry for bad spelling and/or grammar, English is my main language i'm just really tired.
