I'm half-way through my sophomore year of college in the US. Originally, I was pre-medicine, but I hated it and now I'm in Computer Science. I'm still not set on it, though. I enjoy Comp Sci because it's more than just memorizing and regurgitating, and there's a skill to problem-solving in programming. However, writing and reading, although I have not done either of the two much recently, is my greatest passion. I'm afraid of the job prospects of an English/Creative Writing degree, and I wish it wasn't so. The world is in great need of the humanities, in the way I see it, at least. Anyway, I feel that Comp Sci could open doors to areas I could be creative in. At the moment, I'm thinking of continuing my major in Comp Sci with a minor in something that helps my writing.
Edit: I should probably specify the type of writing I aspire towards. I want to write fantasy, and write it well, too.
