A list of puns related to "Electrical Distributor"
I love to lurk this sub to soak up knowledge from you guys so firstly thank you. Secondly, you guys who know what you need when you order, thank you. Often I see a lottt of customers come in and ask us what they need, buddy I’m not an electrician I don’t wanna burn your job down. Here’s some daily scenarios. “I need a transformer” okay, what KVA are you pulling? Also primary and secondary Vs? How many phases? “Uh.. it’s a three phase I just need a transformer” “I need a disconnect” okay man, fuse/non? How many amps/volts/phases? Indoor/outdoor? “Uhhh.. definitely outdoor” “Hey man, I need a 40amp 250V bladed fuse” “I need a contactor” okay, what type? “What do you mean what type” narrows it down to the finish line last thing I need is the coil voltage on this guy! “Uh.. I dunno man what do I need?” “I need a breaker” okay sir, what brand/style of panel is it going in? “Man I just need a breaker I don’t know” “Hey man I need a quote on some wire” quotes “damn that’s high!!!” So they call the guy next to me who gives them the same price, I don’t make commission my man and wire is already highly competitive so we really don’t make much on it. “Hey man, I’m buying stuff for my electrician. Can I tell you what he’s doing and you figure out what I need?” That’s all for now, will post more if I didn’t offend too many people.
I bought this car from my grandad about a month ago and is super close to starting. The only issue is something with the ignition system. The engine cranks over just fine but no spark or electricity at all is coming from the distributor.
This might seem like a coil or ignition problem but I have checked my wiring numerous times and replaced the coil so the distributor might be the culprit but I just want to be sure.
Hey people!
Just added this subreddit and it was mostly for funny/scary pictures of the shit you guys deal with everyday so I can post them on my counter billboard but I had a thought.
I manage a branch in Western Canada of an electrical wholesaler. I talk with my customers every day about service, price, ease of doing business, your problems vs my knowledge of the newest of the new that can save you time/money/headaches.
What's your issues with your local distribution companies? If you'd care to share, is it wait time at the counter? Maybe you have a purchaser and they get an extended period without a response? Lack of knowledge in a certain product grouping? Got a full 25kv lineup delivered and it's all wrong? Want a really common service part and there's no local stock?
I'd love to hear your feedback because I want to improve things for you!
I'm a service guy and I push my team to do everything they can to make your lives easier, so "help me, help you" if you wouldn't mind.
The Calibrate Distributor task reminded me of an old game I used to love. I got it again and discovered it's great practice for that awful task.
It's called Pop The Lock, it's basically the same thing but endless. After playing pop the lock here and there, which can be sorta fun itself, I'm able to get all 3 circuits first or second try usually

I don't know if it's on iOS but there's the one for Android
In Germany we ave a lot of power distributor/ electrical boxes (don't know the right words in english) on the streets. Some of them have professional art on it, so it's a clear yes for me. Some got very good graffiti on it, that's allright too. But then there are low effort arts on it like put a paper on it and paint over it. I never recommend them. And finally there are just the power distributor/ electrical boxes with nothing on it. And there are so many submissions of them that I think 'have I missed that there are allowed now?'
What's your opinion on that?
