Until February 4th, all classes will be online. So, can we get a refund for distance education fees?
Does anybody know if taking a couple Distance Education courses have an impact in applying for any graduate or professional schools, like Law School or Business School?
I spoke with my faculty's advising centre who told me that DE courses βmay have consequences that affect those applications but we have no way of knowing for surβ and said* I would need to individually ask each of those schools...
I understand there may be a limit to number of Distance Education credits allowed per semester, but I'm wondering if these courses affect our eligibility to apply to grad or professional schools. I'm thinking of taking 1 or 2 Distance Education courses and incorporating them into my UBC degree.
Any information regarding Canadian (or US) grad/professional schools is appreciated. Thank you!

Originally I was scheduled to take CSCE 410 β Operating Systems with Tanzir, however as it's been discussed on this sub, he resigned prior to classes starting. They moved us into a distance async version of Dr. Hamilton's section. With it still being add/drop week, I'm trying to figure out whether I should move into the in-person section.
To those who have taken 410 in the past, does being in-person outweigh the benefits of watching lectures on my own time? I really like the fact that I can watch lectures on 1.5x or 2x speed and rewatch them, however, I am just worried that down the road, it'll bite me in the ass.
Would anybody happen to have the Marine net sgts course PDF. Trying to get it done before my first Fitrep is due.
I recently dropped out of my engineering course, and I'm currently working in my own startups( I mean my dad started it, But I manage the whole thing now). I have decided to get a BBA degree. But the problem is I don't have time to go to college, attend classes everyday, even if its online. But distance education could work for me, So if anyone knows which university or college provides this, please do let me know.
Is it just that remote is still scheduled or is there another difference?
I am taking 4 distance education courses and 1 virtual course this semester as opposed to on campus face to face classes. I was just wondering if there are any negative connotations in doing this as I continue in the Bcom program. Like will I still get my full 2.5 credits this semester? In fall, I plan to resume full in person courses.
