A list of puns related to "Data Input Device"
Honestly this might be a problem with ports and stuff which I'm not good at, but currently I'm accessing the react app that is hosted on my computer's port 3000 by accessing my wifi's IP address on my phone and connecting to port 3000.
Currently I have this code that logs in a user:
const res = await fetch(`${HOST}/auth/login`, {
method: "POST",
credentials: "include", // I'm using httponly cookies so this is needed
headers: {
"Content-Type": "application/json",
},
body: JSON.stringify({
credentials: credentials.trim().toLowerCase(),
password,
}),
});
const data = await res.json();
And HOST is defined like this, port 5000 is where my NestJS backend is hosted:
const HOST = process.env.HOST || "http://localhost:5000";
Now, I'm not sure if this is a code problem or a port problem, but when I run this code on my phone, it throws the error "Unexpected end of JSON input" when I attempt to do res.json().
However, I don't think it's a port problem because the website on my phone is able to perform GET requests to localhost:5000. It only throws this error when I attempt to do a POST request to this port
I'm trying to simplify my docking setup for my MBP 16 (2019). Right now, it requires 2 cables. One is from the Apple charger into one port on the laptop, and the other is from an Anker USB-C hub. I want to consolidate this into a single cable so I can tuck everything neatly away behind my desk, without spending >$200 on a TB3 hub.

so, Is there any alternative especially in Europe for a device like Cosmo Communicator, with a good keypad for data input and smartphone capabilities? eg for sending faxes?
Question from a friend who is a small business IT consultant:
>Turns out they have been keeping logbooks--literally--in the shop to record items. Date, time, part, machine, settings, notes. He wants it in electronic form.
He has no problem with the software part of this problem but what hardware works for data input on the shop floor? What do you guys use and what seems to work? He's worried that the obvious answers --Ipads, Android tablets, etc--- will be too fragile for the environment and that touch screens of any sort will quickly get fouled with dirt and grease and become unreadable. He also thinks that WiFi won't work in the shop due to rfi from the machines and welders.
What if every online transaction has to be routed through their servers, so they can carry out supply chain attacks on your mail and every communication you have, is with A.I. and agents of the deep state, in an endless catfishing attack? What if everything here is disinformation? What if their deep fake is so compelling that you begin to misattribute everything about it and get further and further from finding the truth everyday?
Basically the title. My main attraction to playing on console, besides being a kid when the N64 and Playstation launched, has always been the even playing field. Weβre all playing with the same hardware, controllers, etc. Itβs as competitive as gaming gets, bar instances where a game survives to see a new generation of consoles.
So I find it incredibly frustrating that every day Iβm coming across more and more players who are using a certain few (3 that I know of) devices to get an edge in the Crucible. I know there are cases where these devices make games more accessible to a wider audience. However, itβs not fair that Iβm now regularly playing against people using these devices to program scripts and macros, or are playing on keyboard and mouse with aim assist.
Iβm not a r/dtg bot with a .6 k/d and bronze elo. I know thereβs nobody βhackingβ on console. But I know bullshit when I see it, like players who suddenly this season went from 1.x k/d to 2.0+ with 90%+ precision kills. Warlock scroll skating should be near impossible to consistently achieve with a controller, yet I see certain players hitting it every single time. Iβm seeing insane flicks that I canβt even hit on 20 sens. I come across a lot of players managing recoil in a way that I couldnβt even do in my prime.
A lot of players in my circle of friends and clan openly talk about using these devices, but who is going to listen to me when they are pretty much untouchable and dropping 50+ kills against stacked teams in 6s?
I donβt know how Bungie could address this issue. Rant over, thanks for reading.
fuck you cheaters

This patent was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan. > > In the patent, we can see a new form of input device that will use a camera and light-emitting units to track the position of the userβs hand. It appears to work in conjunction with a head-mounted display as shown in the drawings of the patent suggesting that it could be for PSVR 2.
*Let me just say in advance, apologies since I probably won't be using the right terminology, so sorry if it may seem unclear or misinformed since I'm relatively new to building electronic devices/computer parts. I'll try to ask this question to the best of my ability.*
The goal is to construct an adapter of some sort as a "bridge" between an SD card reader/writer and a USB storage device. This device would translate 3.3V SPI/SDIO protocols into USB and allow one to read and write onto the USB drive, having the card reader recognize it as an SD card. This would, in theory, allow me to use larger storage devices (thumb drives or a larger 1TB external hard drive) with the SD card slot. If it's possible.

Here's some background to put this into context: I'm a digital artist working on an ipad pro and I need a large external drive since I work with very large files (multiple versions/backups of large-resolution, multiple-layer animation documents, video files, also large canvases with many layers). I did purchase a flash drive with a lightning adapter (and its own third party app), but it's still very limited in terms of storage.
Basically I want to bypass apple's annoyingly sandboxed photos app via a third party app. Most adapters that directly connect a USB device or SD card to the lightning connection don't really work, or they only allow you to import images into the Photos app, but not back onto the card. And most OTG flash drives (like the thumb drive I bought) do offer their own respective applications, albeit it is hit or miss in terms of functionality.
Suppose that a possible solution to this problem would be modifying one of these portable flash drives or card readers (one with a third-party app), turning it into a sort of adapter instead of a thumb drive. By doing that (if it were possible) I would hypothetically use the application to manage the files on whatever larger storage device it was connected to on the USB end. Of course this homemade device would be powered externally, if needed.

Above is an SD card reader that has its own app. Apparently it can read/write onto any SD card. So, what if I modified an SD extension cable (like the one below) and found a way to translate the informat
... keep reading on reddit β‘Searching for this just finds tons of results for people seeking to do unrelated things (like use the OP-Z as an audio interface, or plug the OP-Z's analog outputs into an audio interface).
A regular audio interface, sadly, won't work, as it says right in the documentation that "the connected device needs to be a usb audio host in order for OPβZ to recognize it." That's a huge bummer, since the OP-Z's USB port does have USB host functionality that works for MIDI and DMX devices.
What I want is to plug a standalone device that isn't a full-on computer into the OP-Z's USB Type C port, and with the OP-Z using that interface's inputs as its sampling source when using the "usb audio" input (shift+3). https://teenage.engineering/guides/op-z/input-selection
Whether or not there's a solution, thanks for your comments!
Just picked up my first keyboard workstation (Korg Nautilus)!
After downloading the most recent USB MIDI driver from the Korg website, the Nautilus stopped showing up in FL Studio as an available MIDI input device. So I uninstalled the driver and rebooted both my computer and the Nautilus but it is still not showing as an available device. Any guidance or tips? Thanks!
(P.S: I have submitted a support email to Korg anyway. Also, it originally did work fine as a controller out of the box the day I bought it and it only stopped working specifically after the driver install.)
For clarification im using a knockoff third party wired Xbox controller at the moment
sudo hexdump -x /dev/input/mouse0 and move your mouse around. idk i giggle as i see raw bytes get printed to my screen.
I know everything (well most things) are file descriptors, and Id written random stuff to my audio card to make it make noises which also make me giggle like a little child. Any others thatd be somewhat surprising?

Stadia Controller is my go to.
I havenβt done no update or nothing it was working perfectly fine .
The microphone is less than 6 months old - interface is displaying thatβs itβs detecting noise from the microphone but canβt seem to connect it to logic as an input and output device . Has this occurred for anyone else before ?
Hey everyone,
ealier today I upgraded from Pro Studio to SB Command. At first everything worked just fine until the application wanted updates for my Soundblaster Z and the application itself. Afterwards I had a slight delay in my voice when I ticked my listen to this device. In Pro Studio and the first version of Command my voice was played back in real time.
Is this a bug? Am I the only one experiencing this? Are there fixes?
Thanks in advance!
e: of course all options that change the voice or noise in the background are deactivated.
Hey guys! I'm new. I'm wanting to plug a PC keyboard into an Arduino, and then in the code, have different keystrokes mapped to be able to send data back out again (to a videogame console).
Is a PS2 or USB keyboard better than the other, either way?
I appreciate any tips!
Here's an example where a guy uses a PC keyboard to send key presses into the Arduino, and the Arduino then can move around his LEGO robot. So it'd be similar to this on the "input" side, but the code would be different for the "output" side.
Hi, I am trying to record in Pro Tools through a microphone connected to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. I was able to get Pro Tools to recognize the input device by setting the Playback Engine to the Focusrite, but when I do that I can no longer listen through my headphones. Do you have to be able to connect the headphones through the same device to use them at the same time?
I have a Windows 10 VM that I use to game, I pass through the GPU and have a monitor connected to it. So far everything works however not all of the sound devices get passed through. I do get audio output via the HDMI, however when I connect a microphone to the system there seems to be no way to pass that through? I tried running lspci -v
to see if I can find the audio device on my motherboard (ASUS ROG B550-F Gaming) however I can't seem to find it. I looked in the Proxmox GUI to see if I can pass through audio devices however it only shows ich9-intel-hda, intel-hda, and AC97, all of which only show SPICE for backend driver. I don't fully understand what this means for audio input as I don't know which one would work for my motherboard? I also don't want to use SPICE since I just want to pass through audio input device that is connected to the port on my motherboard. Any recommendations on the best way to achieve this?
hello Im a midi noob, I clicked Enable Image-Line Remote in midi settings and windows defender window popped up but i didnt click allow, and now the orange midi icon is greyed out - i went into windows settings and allowed it for private network but its still greyed out.

Before anyone says anything, no, I didn't sideload the December update. Google pushed the stupid update to my phone and ruined it. And now not only aren't they fixing it until the January update, it's not even coming during the usual schedule, we have to wait until the end of the month. And their official solution is to do what I just did.
This is not some nice to have feature, this is literally the most mission critical feature, in this phone or any phone.
Absolutely bonkers. I know posting this won't fix anything but I just want to express how fucking insane this is. I can't take Google's phone division seriously after this. This is a straight up joke.
I've been having issues with resume from suspend with nvidia drivers for a while now, and I've always thought the issue was a crash. Today I realized that the actual problem is that my input is not being captured at all after resume. Even Ctrl+Alt+Fx doesn't work. The only way I can get input to register again by unplugging and replugging my keyboard, and then switching vt to something else then back.
Is there anything i can do to work around this? For a while I was using a manual nvidia install without opengl support which fixed the issue for a while, but then it came back. The nvidia suspend and resume routine apparently runs chvt. Could this have something to do with it?
