When did the painting of Greek/Roman statues cease? Would Constantine the Great while collecting statues for his new capital have collected them painted for example?
My knowledge of the Classical period is pretty rubbish however I am incredibly interested in Greek and Roman statues, especially there second life under Christianity. Would the citizens of Constantinople in the 6th century, for example, see the statues of pagan gods and past athletes painted or merely in stone?

The 2017 Eclipse Miracle: Like when Constantine the Great saw the Greek letters Chi Rho in the sun and defeated a Roman Army twice the size of his by converting to Christianity, then the entire Roman Empire followed, such a miracle occurred during full eclipse on the banks of the Tennessee River.
All witnessed the letters NR on the top and underneath BS. And the hundreds of thousands of people lining the Tennessee River south of Knoxville all simultaneously understood the meaning of this miracle: No Run Bernie Sanders. And everyone started saying "No Run Bernie Sanders" together and it grew louder and louder throughout the Tennessee River valley. Some started speaking in tongues saying "Bernie would have lost." The sound was deafening. Only when the eclipse completely ended did it stop. But we all knew that we had been touched by this miracle and it was now everyone's mission that had experienced it to go forth and spread the word.

TIL that Constantine V of the Byzantine Empire (r. 741-775) was so loved for his ability as a general that following the defeat of the Byzantine army by the Bulgarians at the battle of Pliska in 811, a group of soldiers broke into his tomb and begged his corpse to come back and lead them again.
