A list of puns related to "Code Of Conduct"
A bunch of people are going to get offended, try not to.
I couldn't explain everything without pointing fingers but I tried my best to give a gist.
As the sub grows, it will become an echochamber. It is given, you cannot stop it. Like minded people will come together and jerk off to each other, there is absolutely no way to stop it other than rigid content moderation, which would just ruin the sub.
Which is why I would prefer it to be a positive echochamber than a negative one as the likes of r/Chodi.
The sub has been growing rapidly for the past few days and there has been an influx of new users. Not to point fingers but some haven't been very ideal. Probably they mistook the sub for something else or maybe they didn't mean it when they did or said so. May the reason be any, I don't think any content or comment like this should be tolerated but for some reason they are upvoted to the top.
There were a few posts hating on specific religions, we aren't Chodi then why should we come down to their hateful level?
Of course, we aren't and will never be civil in our discussions but the war with the Meme Lord has revealed that we can also be just as bigoted as the jerkwads at r/chodi. Maybe it is just human nature, doesn't really matter.
I am sure the mods have noticed this which is why I urge them to implement a Code of Conduct which every librandu must abide by.
It should restrict the use of slurs and hate speech. Words like 'Pasmandu' should not be allowed. I wouldn't go into much detail but I believe you got the picture.
But the Code of Conduct isn't limited to just this. Its main aim should be to hold librandus to a certain standard of basic civility. We like to take cheap jabs at people, just like we have done so with the Meme Lord but in reality it just brings us down to their level. A fellow Librandu really likes to make suicide jokes here, and one likes targeting the other person's parents. What are we? 12 year olds?
We pick on Chintus everyday for their idiocity and bigotry but it looks like we are becoming indifferent, though still quite far away, the presence of a few oddballs and even some veterans behaving like this just reconfirms my statement. There have been religionist and casteist statements used in the comment sections and surprisingly they have been upvoted, and to not point fingers, I won't point them out. I believe you all remember some examples.
We made these obnoxious and stupid thesis "memes" just lik

The Lfg is purely to form groups, home instances are not considered group content and thats why it not allowed to advertise e.x homeinstances in the lfg.
2 comments from A-net employe:
1:
>To clarify on this: LFG is not a sales tool. It is a tool to form groups for events, raids, instanced content and so forth. LFG stands for "Looking for Group" - that needs to be the main goal.

>I fully understand that this could be a great place for nitpicking, but the rule is really very straight-forward: If you make a group for group content, you are okay. If you use LFG for anything but group content, it is not okay.
2:
>No. Home instances are not considered group content.
So the other day I was using the LFG to sell the entrance to my Home instance, I recieved a 3 hour suspension for it. I wrote to the support to ask them why I got the suspension & the response was:
>This email is to notify you that the above game account has violated the Guild Wars 2 User Agreement and Code of Conduct. Further violations may result in suspension or termination of the account."
>
>Please refrain from using LFG as a means for selling things. Selling/Buying is not the purpose of LFG and should be strictly used for Looking for Group purposes.
>
>Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
So I was curious, if u read into this response everything in regard of selling/buying stuff via the lfg would be a violation, so i asked them:
>Let me ask you where do you draw the line? People are constantly selling Raids in the lfg and basicly it is against the same rule you just suspended my account.
The response on that was:
>The violation in question has to do with where you posted the chat. If it wasn't in LFG, you wouldn't have received a suspension. LFG is meant specifically for players grouping up. Not selling or buying other things. Also, if you notice another using chat or abusing our policies, feel free to use the report a player feature within the game.

>If you have any questions, feel free to review our Guild Wars 2 User Agreement and
Yes this is a whining post. Iβm at the point that I start hating people hiding behind pc/mobile screen and being a jerk.
Here is what in my mind of βcode of conductβ, itβs not fair, I know, you wanna fair, go play dota, agree, disagree, curse me, whatever.
1, if you donβt have blessing, donβt fucking auto, you have not earned it! Carry you? Sure, but show some appreciation and contribute in some way! Why should I carry you and carry an auto at the same time.
2, if you donβt have blessing, bring a buffer, we donβt need another Leon, and definitely donβt need another Cherie with no buff!
3, if you donβt have blessing, watch some YouTube on how to play each challenge, you canβt beat solo because stat is a bit low, no problem, you will get there eventually, but at least know how to move and where to place your hero, so you donβt mess up, especially 70 dragons.
4, i appreciate people have busy life, but if you donβt have time to play, donβt play in team. Donβt waste others time, thatβs a crime!
5, hit that start button and auto button after you decided being a jerk, donβt waste 90 secs of others time. being a jerk is one thing, but being a jerk and not admitting it is coward.
6, joint battle is a cancer, I canβt even think of a βcode of conductβ to improve that....team with people we know, my only solution.
Now, i like playing games and also big fan of Langrisser since MD time, but every 1 in 5 team games, I want to find that jerk and smash his/her phone and say you donβt deserve this game.
What does everyone make of this part of the Code of Conduct?
The GNOME community prioritizes marginalized people's safety over privileged people's comfort. The committee will not act on complaints regarding:
"Reverse"-isms, including "reverse racism," "reverse sexism," and "cisphobia"
Reasonable communication of boundaries, such as "leave me alone," "go away," or "I'm not discussing this with you."
Criticizing racist, sexist, cissexist, or otherwise oppressive behavior or assumptions
Communicating boundaries or criticizing oppressive behavior in a "tone" you don't find congenial
Yesterday i got code of conduct breach warning for apparently for Exploiting bugs, glitches, vulnerabilities or unintentional game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage. how is that even possible?
It just seems like orcs who train as rogues donβt really have the same view as honor as those who are warriors. Rogues fight with poison and from the shadows.
Hey guys! This isn't as serious as some of the other relationship problems here, but it bugs me.
So, I have a very large family and we're fairly tight knit. We get together for all of the holidays and there are 50 or so of us that show up, so holiday parties are really big events.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving was always at my great aunt's house but she died a couple years ago and I took over because I was the only one who had a house big enough to accommodate all those people (and I also just really love thanksgiving!). And wowie wowza did I realize how much I'd taken my sweet great aunt for granted! It's a ton of work! I'm happy to do it because I love my family, but I have a whole new appreciation for what she did for all for all those years.
The problem is, I'm a different generation and I do things differently than she did. No one else has commented on the way I do things, but my mom won't stop going on and on about it. For example, I'm on facebook with at least one person from each household so I set up a facebook event and invite everyone. Everyone should be able to get the info that way, but if there's someone who didn't I can call them. My mother was horrified. The tradition is that you call the people who are basically the elders (in their 70's) on the phone to invite them. The elders are responsible for telling their children about the dinner. I pointed out that I invited all the children (who are all married and in their 30's and 40's) and why can't they just tell their parents? After all, I've never gotten a call inviting me to Thanksgiving. For all those years, my great aunt expected my mom to tell me.
The only response I got was that it's not the way it's done. You call the parents and the parents tell their (grown) kids. It's disrespectful for any of the "kids" to be invited before their parents. Fine, whatever. I'll call the elders, even though the majority are on FB with me and have no problem accepting the invite and messaging me about it. She doesn't like that I do anything online and insists that I also call the elders even if they have already seen and accepted the FB event invite.
That one's not ridiculous, I just think it's overkill. I find the whole "elders are invited, kids get the info secondhand" issue kind of offensive, but whatever.
So the next issue we disagree on is that, traditionally, the host waits until everyone else has gotten their food before they make themselves a plate. Wtf? Is this really a tradition? I'

I read this article criticizing the Code of Conduct and it feels to blow things waaay out of proportions. What do you guys think of his criticism? Fair or reactionary?
The Code of Conduct: https://godotengine.org/code-of-conduct
" Wu De is the Chinese martial arts code of appropriate social interaction. Ethics and etiquette is ingrained not only in the culture of China but also pervades throughout the philosophy that holds the society together. There are five points in Wu De: Respect, Humility, Trust, Virtue, and Honor."
I learned a little bit about Wu-De when I was studying Chen Taichi. I believe the overlap with judo's famous maxims are interesting. Ultimately, it makes you wonder just how syncretic Kano was in forming Judo.
