A list of puns related to "Coast Redwood"
I have never gone on any sort of trip before (I am in college right now). I am looking to get some friends together to drive from MA to the west coast to visit Redwood and Canyonlands National Park. I truthfully do not know how to plan for something like this. For example, what is a good idea as far as costs on food per day. I have the gas costs calculated already. Or what about the sleeping situation, should we plan for hotels, or how easy is it to find and camp on BLM land/how likely would it be that there would be no room to camp? I asked a few questions about this over the summer and I was mostly told (in a polite way) that I was an ignorant youth, haha - and they were not wrong. So I suppose I am just going to ask the broad question of what I should do. Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions. I would really appreciate it.
I'm visiting this weekend to see the redwoods but I might cancel if there is visible smoke, I'm going to see the beauty of nature afterall. I see that the air quality has been so so
Hi all,
Wife and I just closed on a house with a beautiful coast redwood in the front yard. I did some research on coast redwoods - it seems like the edge of the canopy is where the roots tend to stop.
The driveway, as currently situated, is dirt and goes right over where some of the roots of the tree are, in addition to some of where Douglas fir roots may be. The below photo referenced below will provide context.
My wife and I are looking at getting either a gravel or asphalt driveway, but am concerned it may affect the tree roots. Wanted to see if these concerns are warranted or if we're okay proceeding as-is.

Thanks in advance!
