(Ljubljana, 20 February 2020) - CargoX, the provider of the CargoX blockchain document transfer (BDT) platform, has been granted prestigious approval by the International Group of P&I Clubs (IG P&I). It has become the first and only approved provider to use the neutral, public blockchain Ethereum network for its platform.
The International Group of P&I Clubs is an unincorporated association of the 13 principal underwriting Protection & Indemnity (P&I) Associations (Clubs) and their Affiliated Associations and Reinsured Entity. Between them, they provide liability cover (protection and indemnity) for approximately 90% of the world's ocean-going tonnage. Of the worldβs top 25 reinsurers, 22 were featured on the groupβs program in 2019.
Ensuring ocean shipping resilience
βThe mutual club system has proved itself resilient and responsive for over 120 years. Future-proofing the group is not a novel concept, but it will be a key focus within the group going forward, and whilst looking ahead, the only certainty is uncertainty, the group, and its member clubs will be there to deliver the necessary solutions for their shipowners and to protect third-party interests,β emphasized Mr. Paul Jennings, Chairperson of the IG P&I, in the group annual review.
βCargoX is fully committed to building trust among partners in the supply chain industry in a trustless business world. Providing a fast, secure, and efficient way to transfer documents of title, and herewith the ownership of the transferred goods is of fundamental importance to global trade. We are proud to have been awarded the trust of such respectable institutions, members of the IG P&I. We are looking forward to the future!β said Stefan Kukman, founder and CEO of CargoX.
Cautious steps of digitalization
The approval is a historic milestone for CargoX, and for the public blockchain community at large. Until February 2010, the rules of all the groupβs clubs specifically excluded liabilities in respect of the shipping of cargo under all electronic (paperless) trading systems; on 20 February 2010 that all changed for the much better. Ten years later, in February 2020Β the group approved CargoX, additionally to the electronic systems administered by ESS, Bolero, e-titleβ’, GlobalShare, and Wave.

... keep reading on reddit β‘To my understanding, the Bill of Lading acts (among other) as a receipt of goods delivered from the shipper (the supplier) to the carrier (the shipping company). I booked a shipment through Freightos with Seabay and the goods have been given to them (Seabay) yesterday. However, when I asked today to my supplier if he has the Bill of Lasing he said that maybe on Friday. Isn't he suppose to have it already as he delivered the goods to the carrier?
What I'm thinking of is that Seabay is not the carrier and just the logistics company. So Seabay has to deliver the goods to the carrier and then they'll have the Bill of Lading? However, that's confusing and scary. What happens if the goods get lost now? Who is responsible?
This is my first shipment. So forget me any lack of knowledge here :)
Thanks!
Hi everyone,
I have put in an order a while ago on Ali Baba for some shirts and jackets. Shipment has been delayed. The initial ETA on the contract was Aug 10th. We are still waiting on the shipment... The manufacturer sent me a bill of lading on Oct 17th. This was all that was given to us.
Is there a way to track this shipment with what was provided? Is this enough evidence for proof of shipping? (we are bit concerned that we may never receive our goods)
What am I suppose to do with the BL?
Would appreciate any help!

In today's digital world, one would think the paper Bill of Lading was an anachronism. A recent test of the CargoX Smart B/Lβ’, done by G2 Ocean and Manuchar NV, show it is possible to retire the paper B/L.
βPaper Bills of Lading are already considered a historic artefact. The Smart B/Lβ’ solution gives both us and our clients the power of a modern, reliable, and efficient tool. It will bring cost optimization and improved data security into their processes. The document transaction reliability in this system is undisputable," said Rune Birkeland, CEO at G2 Ocean.
In total G2Ocean and Manuchar have completed five separate pilot shipments, with five Smart Bills of Lading.
"G2 Ocean considers smart contracts based on distributed ledgers or blockchain as a unique opportunity to digitalize and automate manual processes between its clients and subcontractors. The Bill of Lading is one of two priority areas in 2019 using blockchain technology. Based on these successful pilots, our next step will be to scale this up and offer itβs as a value-added service to our clients,β said Leif Arne StrΓΈmmen, Vice President of Innovation G2 Ocean.
βThe implementation of new technologies is essential to establish and maintain our leading position in terms of cost-efficient sourcing & supply chain solutions for our customers. We focus on technologies that go beyond the hype and deliver real benefits in terms of speed, efficiency and the quality of service. That is exactly why this successful Smart B/L pilot is such an important next step in Manucharβs digital transformation program: it provides real value. We thank G2 Ocean and CargoX for the excellent collaboration in achieving this successβ, states Bart Troubleyn, COO of Manuchar.

I recently ordered some desks from company A. They, I believe, bought the desks from company B. The desks were suppose to ship this Friday.
I'm not always at this location, so today is the first time I've been here in a week. I get to my desk this morning to see a Straight Bill of Lading on my desk from company B. I have no idea how it was delivered, as my asshate boss who's not here today left only the document on my desk w/ no other info. It's 5 pages long.
I did some googling but am still a bit confused. Is this just to let me know that the product has shipped from company B to company A, and that we can expect it from company A on the agreed upon terms?
I just want to make sure it hasn't already shipped because if it has it's somewhere in the building I'm not aware of, and we don't have the equipment needed to move it to where it's supposed to go.
ie. load no more than 30 pokemon when you're in the center of a large city
Just curiosity, what do you guys think ?

my problem is that i just downloaded eqwl symphonic orchestra platinum pro xp, but none of the menus load at all and this is the first I've encountered of this. I remember once needing to download an image for another kontakt library and placing it in a folder, but I'm unsure really what I did before and how to remedy this situation.. would love some guidance.. I also showed the folders for libraries that have the menu images.
