A list of puns related to "Bayonet Mount"
I bought a D3300 off of a friend and one of the lenses, an AF-S DX 18-55mm, has a broken lug on the bayonet mount. No biggie I'll just get a new one.
A few replacements and video tutorials later, I'm finding that my mounting ring is not as it should be. The screws are in different places. One of the internal lugs is in a different place. Even the nipple the spring attaches to is in a different place. The beaded sensor thing on the side even has an extra bead (8 instead of 7). All of the replacements I bought do not fit because of this, despite claiming to be compatible with my lens.

I have been unable to repair my lens because I cannot find a single bayonet mount replacement, or even a single YouTube or blog tutorial, that matches the rather odd setup of my particular mount.
What's going on here, and where can I find a replacement that actually works?
Can it be done in cook county?
For some reason my bayonet will not clip into the nub in the mount. I've removed the backing piece so I could see that it's not clipping into it. Is there any reason that it's not clipping in correctly? It's a rhino 2 so it should work?

Hey Guys,
One of my little gremlin family members knocked over my tripod the other day, causing my 7d2 and 100-400mk2 to hit the floor. Discovered that the impact had bent and /or cracked the mounting rings (?) on both the camera body and the lens. Have been looking around as to whether this was something I could fix myself, or if it's easier to pay someone else to do it?
Any thoughts/advice?
I stripped 2 of the screws while repairing my lens. (The XF 16-80mm OIS). Iβm trying to find the proper sized 4 silver screws that hold the mounting ring onto the lens. But I canβt find anything. I donβt want to send my lens to Fuji because currently this is the only lens I have. If anyone has the specs for the screws or a place where I can find them, please lmk!
Not looking to spend $130+ on a clamp on JP model, but want that iconic A2 look. I've considered a railed receiver height gas block and a SW Peak type sight, but really want the iconic triangular A2 style.
Hello,
I have a hose for my tent pump that has a different coupling than a pump for my air mattress.
In order to bringing both pumps, I wanted to create a reduction piece from tent pump hose to air mattress nozzle.
The air mattress nozzle looks like this:

So in order to secure it I wanted to make a bayonet mount, which is something like this:

What I came up with is this:

I made it by creating a sketch of the "slot" in the center and then extruded with an offset to make a the cut from the outside, however this feels more like a hack than a valid workflow, not to mention that the cutout is not parallel to the walls of the piece as expected if you were extruding directly from the face of the object:

What would be the correct way to do this?
Thank you
So I'm wanting to mount a bayonet, preferrably one of the new retractable ones like the OKC bayonet https://ontarioknife.com/collections/bayonets/products/okc-retractable-bayonet to the bottom pic rail on my henry .44 model X.
I'm afraid that the knife will not protrude past the suppressor (still waiting on NFA stamp). I think the suppressor is 8in.
Does anyone know of a pic rail bayonet setup with a longer blade? Like maybe 12 in blade or more?
