So, I usually go through 4 or 5 packages (14g/piece) of bay leafs a year. The cheapest I can get in easily accessible supermarkets amounts to about €300 per kilo. That's quite pricey and I'm always a sucker for deals. A bit of googling led me to a reputable shop where I could buy 1kg of this apparent gold for €22, including shipping.
One thing leads to another and now I have a big airtight container with 1kg minus one refilled jar of bay leafs sitting around. I don't mind having a supply for a couple of years, but this amounts to around 15 years.
I hear ya saying: shoulda done the math beforehand you oaf! Well yeah I didn't and now here we are :')
Upping my usage is a nice idea, but the most bay leaf heavy recipe I can find uses 6 of 'm. So I'm looking for suggestions what I can sensibly do with all these bay leafs.
Anybody know of a place that sells bay leaf branches? (I use them instead of skewers for the grill, but don’t have a tree right now.)

I’m kind of a beginner , but I recently did a wishing spell with a wishing candle (it comes anointed and with herbs and all) , but I recently got a bay leaf and I heard they’re also good for wishing spells , is it too late to add it to the candle or spell somehow? Or are you just supposed to write on the physical leaf? Thank you , blessed be!
Many recipes make it a point to mention removing the bay leaf when, for example, the soup or sauce is done simmering. But i often leave the bay leaves i use even if storing in the fridge, am I doing something wrong or missing something?

Long story short, my husband has been waiting on his paycheck to show up and was beginning to worry that it may come a few days later than expected. Wrote a quick affirmation on a bay leaf ("Blank's paycheck will come in on Wednesday the 13th, in the afternoon.") and burned it. Within 15 minutes, he had received an email letting him know that his check had been deposited into his account. I often get so caught up in planning out elaborate spells with a specific number of carefully chosen herbs, candles in a certain color, burning the perfect blend of incense, making sure the moon is in the right phase, writing and rewriting petitions until I get the wording just right, that I completely lose sight of exactly what it is that I'm doing. I am focusing my intention and sending it out into the universe. I don't always need fancy tools to make my spells work, and sometimes it works even better to stick to the simple things.
I've searched the entire area, lite it up collected from all the stuff, discovered the boxes, tablet, no leaf. I can't find the 3 plants. Is there a marked map location I can get my bearing from? I've sent 2 hours last night and a nether 2 today I really can't locate the plant's.
