A list of puns related to "Bald Cypress"
My germination rates are pretty good and I'm potting on using a general purpose garden centre mix but its a bit lacklustre and I'm having to supplement with a lot of liquid feeding. Would a mix of 1/3 composted cow or chicken manure and 2/3 mix be more suitable with a slow release general purpose osmocote on top?
Thanks for any suggestions.
On the wet moss bed or in? I've read everything from 1 inch deep to leaving them on the surface. Please help.
I read that larch lose their needles as an adaptation to the very cold environs they typically inhabit (donβt have to invest heavily in a thick cuticle), and Iβm wondering what advantage being deciduous poses to the bald cypress? The floodplains and swamps of the south arenβt that cold, so Iβd imagine the selective pressures for the cypress resulting in this trait were different than those for the larch.
I have bought probably 150 Lebanese Cedar seeds over the last 3 years from Strictly Medicinal Seeds, but can never get them to sprout. I follow the germination process religiously, and have tried other methods Iβve read from various forums, but still havenβt had any luck. I feel that I am getting non-viable seeds. Btw, Iβm not bashing Strictly Medicinal Seeds, theyβre a wonderful company. I have a few Lebanese Cedar saplings from them and they are doing great!
We have a like next to our new apartment and I haven't seen one of these trees in so omg and I've always loved the erie beauty they have! Any help would be nice! Thank you!
1 month in and I've got 7 germinated in a tray of 50-60 seeds.
Its wettish, seeds are sitting atop or just below surface, light is diffuse and about 50% of full daylight, temperatures are averaging 70F.
Please help.
