-Al Mu'minun 5-6 -An Nisa 34

There are many problematic verses in the Quran but these are the ones I have the most trouble with.

The first 2 permit having sex with your female sex slave.

The second permit beating your wife.

Many people today still believe this is the literal word of god.

Also to understand Islam properly one must also read Ibn Rushd. Ibn Rushd is the Philosophical King and Muhammad is the King of Religion. Our current world is based a lot on the conflict between these 2 people. 2 Muslims.

Essentially title.

For example, how did he know that repeating Ikhlas ten times opens gates of Jannah? Or reciting Ayat al kursi after fardh prayers saves you from torment of the grave?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, just a thought that I had.

4:140 وَقَدْ نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ أَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْعُدُوا۟ مَعَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا مِّثْلُهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ جَامِعُ ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيعًا

And it has already come down to you in the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them .1 Indeed, Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together 6:68 وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَـٰتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦ ۚ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse1 concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.

وَلَلآخِرَةُ خَيرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الأولىٰ

"And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one." Surah duha 4

Every moment you're away from this sin you're only gaining! Every breath in the path of Allah is just one step closer to Jannah! 🎊

This is a test and Allah does not give ANY test which is beyond what we can bear.

Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford. All good will be for its own benefit, and all evil will be to its own loss. 2:286

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “

Let none of you wish for death, nor call for it before its time comes. When one of you dies, his deeds come to an end. Verily, the life of a believer only increases in good.” Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2682

here are some points to consider

• If you feel being deprived of something "precious" it will only be harder to quit.
• In reality you're not giving up anything instead you're just gaining.
• Keeping away from Prohibitions is better than engaging in many Voluntary action!
• Every withdrawl pang or urges all are created by the previous session.
• PMO doesn't fill a void IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE rather it creates it.
• PMO does not relieve any problems rather it impedes it.
• In halal intimacy brain produces other chemicals that makes it feel good.PMO only gives you dopamine which is essentially thrill. Dopamine isn't actually pleasure, it's the anticipation of pleasure and that is enough for us humans to take action. They anticipate there will be a reward but they don't get that's why you feel empty afterwards PMO. Basically you anticipated a reward but there is none.
• There is no fulfillment. If there was wouldn't you be satisfied by the first "I swear it's the last time"?
• “When enjoying something - you don’t go through the process of consuming it quickly just to have another and another. If PMO were enjoyable, you’d be satisfied with one video (as, if you think about it, all videos are really the same). If it were enjoyable you wouldn’t be in a frantic search for other videos, quickly going from one video to the next. That is not savoring it at all”
• Conclusion: PMO is not satisfactory its just sabotaging the reward function of the brain
• The feel good experienced by PMOing is only the relief of the discomfort created by PMO in the first place. Non addicts live this relie

“فَاصبِر إِنَّ وَعدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ وَلا يَستَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذينَ لا يوقِنونَ”

“so be patient, for God’s promise is true: do not let those with no firm beliefs discourage you.” 30:60

My apologies if this is either the wrong sub or a question that breaks the sub rules. I am a medically diagnosed autistic and although I’ve read the rules very carefully before posting, I have made mistakes in my understanding of a sub’s rules before.

So if I have made a mistake with this post, could you please politely tell me so and how I can correct it? Because I’ve had some quite nasty responses before for making a mistake that I didn’t even know that I was making and I’m aware that I’m asking about a sensitive time in Indian history here.

I found out when I was a child that my ancestors had two ayahs (I hope that that’s the correct and socially acceptable term for them. If not, please politely let me know) in colonial India. Having actually done some research on the time after growing up, I want to be able to find out a bit more about those two people but my family doesn’t have any records of their names. All I know is that they were a man and a woman and my family has at least one photo of them. It’s at the other end of the country to me right now so I can’t post it, I’m afraid.

Would there be any organisation that I could contact that might have some kind of record of who they were? Because I’d like to at least know what their names actually were.
