This is just a basic box to hold a pen I made, but the spalted ash looks so gorgeous with its grain had to post. It has purple heart trim and a purple heart pen, but the real art is mother nature's grain, looking thicc. Got the wood from the scrap bin at a local woodcraft.

Lump Charcoal Ash in Worm Bin
Anybody have any thoughts about using a little lump charcoal ash in a worm bin for alkalinity and maybe? grit)? I'm talking maybe a tablespoon per square foot at most. I wouldn't use anything other than lump for fear the binders would be harmful.

Fireplace ash in a bin?
I have a lot of ash from my fireplace this winter. What do you think about adding a bit to my worm bin? I know it can be added to a traditional compost, but I'm not sure about worms. Any thoughts?

[Technique] I took leftover pink oyster mushrooms as well as the spawn block and mixed it with ash and spent coffee grounds. The wood is juniper. It lives in a plastic storage bin with relatively high humidity. The fruiting bodies are growing more like coral fungi, but it's pink. Thank you.

When you're in bed it's hard to ash sometimes, so I put a tissue in the lid of the box, then 3 point that tissue into my bin 99% of the time.

Why is it that a show like 'Starhunter' the Enhanced 'Redux' Version can resurface after all this time, in 16:9, and with Updated FX, but "Babylon 5" remains lost in the ash bin of history?
Supposedly Babylon 5 can only be released on standard DVD because the special effects were created for videotape, and in 4:3 (although I do remember a cropped Widescreen version of the show having been aired on the old Sci Fi Channel back around 2000 and 2001), and remastering the show for HD would also mean having to completely redo all of the special effects from scratch because all of those digital files were lost, and the computers they were created on sold off at auction.
Yet a lesser known, and less popular show like "Starhunter" is having all 44 episodes reformatted to 16:9, with all of its special effects work in essence remade to be more comparable to today's television standards.
Where is the universal justice in that?

I'm getting this error at boot after performing a system upgrade today. Kernel panics and hard locks. Booted from a live CD and checked - that file does exist. Tried using both the LTS and the regular kernel, and the fallback options aren't helping either. Here's the full output on the screen. I also tried to reinstall all the packages by running
pacman -Qnq | pacman -S -
from here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman/Tips_and_tricks#Reinstalling_all_packages. It completed fine, but didn't fix anything. Frankly, I'm stumped. Anyone have any ideas?

Last time we went away for a weekend my mother-in-law put hot ash from the fire into a plastic bucket, and nearly burnt the house down. This time, she put it in the wheely bin, which was smoking like a chemical factory when we got home.
