I have created my first mod for Art of Rally (Camera Mod). The mod requires the Unity Mod Manager to install. So I thought it would be a good thing to write a short tutorial about the Unity Mod Manager.

These are not official tools, nor does Art of Rally have official mod support. Please do not contact Funselektor about anything related to the mods or the mod manager.

Why Unity Mod Manager?

The Unity Mod Manager allows you to install and manage mods for games that are based on the Unity Engine but do not have official mod support. Unlike modifying the game files, this allows you to install multiple mods.

Download Unity Mod Manager

• You can download Unity Mod Manager on nexusmods: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/21?tab=files&file_id=1037 (Requires an account).

Installation (Windows)

• There is a description and installation instructions on nexusmods: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/21?tab=description
• Extract the downloaded zip it into any folder
• Start UnityModManager.exe (If a warning from Windows pops up, you can ignore it)
• Select "Art of Rally" as game, click on Folder "Select" and select your Art of Rally installation folder (Steam example: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\artofrally)
• Press "Install"
• After that it should look like this and "Installation was successful." should appear at the bottom:

• Verify correct installation:
  • Start Art of Rally
  • If the mod manager appears after starting the game, the installation was successful.
  • You can disable the Mod Manager UI on startup: Settings -> Uncheck Show this window on startup (recommended)
  • You can show/hide the Mod Manager anytime with CTRL+F10

Has anyone used any of these skeletons to run their campaigns?

Many of them look cool, but I'm struggling to flesh them out.
