A single woman gives birth to twins but canโt keep them, so she gives them up for adoption. They are adopted out to separate families, a Mexican family, and an Arabic family. 15 years go by, the woman is now married and decides sheโd like to meet her twins.
Sheโs able to track down the Mexican family and meets her boy. Heโs doing great. All she has to go on is a first name for the other twin, but canโt seem to track him down. She gets frustrated, months go by eventually her husband has had enough and tries to reason with her.
He says โDear, itโs going to be ok if you donโt meet both, theyโre twins. If youโve seen Juan, youโve seen Amal.โ

The son from the Mexican family, Juan, reaches out to the dad as an adult and the two meet. They have a great time reconnecting and the dad finds out his other son is named Amal.
At the end of the day Juan asks his dad if he wants to meet his other son. The dad declines. Juan asks why and the dad says, โif youโve seen Juan, youโve seen Amal.โ
One of them is adopted by a family in Egypt and is named Amal and the other is adopted by a family in Mexico and is named Juan.
Years later Juan contacts his mother and sends a picture of himself to her. The mother overwhelmed with happiness, tells her husband that she wishes she could also see Amal.
He responds, "They're twins! If you've seen Juan you've seen Amal."
