He's the original Kovac. He was number 1!
I knew the voice sounded familiar, but I didn’t realize till episode 7 that it was the same actor that voiced Wei Shen. I went to check his wiki page and there was no reference to Altered Carbon. I don’t have a wiki account and I wouldn’t know how to change it if I did, so it’d be mucho gusto to get a Korean actor some recognition for the show on his Wikipedia page.
I thought he did a great job as the “original” Takeshi on the Envoy planet. I haven’t seen him get a leading role yet, but I thought he was one of the best parts of this season, especially episode 7 itself.
Almost a similar character too, an incredibly skilled killer who is lost in his place in the world, stuck in complicated quid pro quo with incredibly powerful people.
I'm happy he's scored a major role like this, the voice acting in sleeping dogs was phenomenal and he kills it here too. Seriously hoping next season we'll see much more of him.
