Hi! I recently accepted a job as an editorial assistant at a university press. Iβm super excited, but also nervous because I donβt have much direct publishing experience (have worked in publishing-adjacent jobs and internships but never on this level) and this is my first professional post-college job. Any pieces of advice or tips are welcome!
Happy New Year Everyone! Here are some new titles on Byzantine Studies being published by Harvard University Press this year:
What title(s) on Byzantium are you most looking forward to reading this year?
ISBN: 9780198737513
Thank you!
Apologies if I am doing something wrong by posting this;
I am a college student at a university in CA and my institution is not supported through Cambridge University Press. I am writing a research paper and there is a document I can only find on Cambridge University Press that is a crucial source for my paper. I have tried registering but my only option is to buy the document, which I will not do.
Is there anyway I can access this without paying? Thank you in advance for any advice/help.
Hi guys,
I'm going to apply for Ritsumeikan University to study IR. The university asks me to write an essay (about 400 words) about an issue which intertional society is currently facing (Include its background and trials/efforts to solve it).
I am not sure which issue I will write on and I just have a little bit experience in writing essay. Besides, my knowledge about this major is not much. I've found out that "The globalization of World Politics" is one of the most basic books if you want to get into this major.
Should I read and gain knowledge from this book and then write the essay?
And, can you recommend some methods to improve English academic writing skill? (I am not a native English speaker, I am a Vietnamese and I am trying my best to improve it!)
Thank you all,
Have a nice day!!!!

Does anyone have this anthropology textbook?
ISBN-10 β : β 0199020515
ISBN-13 β : β 978-0199020515
Hi, as you can see above, i was looking for the journal "Positions: asia critique, specifically the last issue "The maoism of prc history: against dominant trends in anglophone academia" (Volume 29, Issue 4, November 1, 2021) edited by Fabio Lanza and Aminda Smith. Unfortunately it seems the only way to access this book is through Duke University Press, here: https://read.dukeupress.edu/positions/issue/29/4
Sci Hub seems to not be able to access the DOI's for any of the articles, so i was wondering if anyone knew how to get past Duke's paywall, or if anyone had a PDF copy of the aforementioned issue?
I found the second edition, but the professor said it's too outdated. Can anyone find the 3rd edition online?
