Plot
This episode opens with a continuation of the scene from the end of episode 1 with Bayliss investigating the scene of the murder of a young black girl as three more senior detectives (Crosetti, Munch & Lewis) watch on. They know the scene has told them all that it can but Bayliss won't let it go. It takes Giardello turning up to get him out of his funk.
The following morning Bayliss & Pembleton break the news to the girl's mother and sister. Back at the station we get the girl's name: Edina. She was stabbed. This case is bad even for these guys and extra troops are called in and most all of the detectives are working it to some extent.
Munch & Bolander (M&B) get called to a nice neighbourhood where an old man is lying dead on the floor. Except he's not dead. The couple start arguing and the detectives leave the 'domestic' to the uniformed cop who called them. Why do I get the feeling one of them is going to end up dead soon.
The ME we met last episode scolds Bayliss for moving Edina's body too soon as the change in body temperature means the time of death is now more of a guess than an estimate.
M&B are back at the swanky house and this time the husband really is dead in what sounds similar to the recent case in the UK when Penelope Jackson stabbed and killed her husband and bragged about it to the cops as they arrested her.
An ASA turns up to discuss a weak case with Howard.
The detectives have a round table about Edina's last hours alive and I like that they all have things to contribute, especially things they know about the neighbourhood. Pembleton wants to replace Bayliss as Primary and to be fair, Bayliss has been a bit out of his depth so far. Giardello puts a lightning bolt up Bayliss's butt. The Captain (Giardello's boss, I'm assuming) also wants him replaced.
M&B visit the only ME in the city about the dead husband from earlier. She's the woman Bolander has his eye on. His not-so-subtle chat up lines fall flat.
Edina's murder isn't the only one and s
... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Letβs be frank: Keller was a sociopath, even more than Vern Schillinger. As Tobias stated in the final episode, Keller kills for sport. Many people think that the perverse relationship was based on βloveβ but I suspect that the relationship was really based on Tobiasβ emotionally codependency and Kellerβs desire to dominate human beings.
Another way we can tell that their relationship was flimsy and toxic is how easy Tobias or Chris turned on each other. They never seemed to be on the same side for more than a few episodes. If Chris and Tobias were free, it is unlikely their would be any attraction. I also suspected Keller was actually jealous of Tobias. Tobias came off blue blooded and Keller gave me a vibe of coming from blue collar or lower. Kellerβs jealousy of Tobias manifested as him sabotaging Tobias on multiple occasions.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
Or would that be too forward thinking?

Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
