A list of puns related to "Saami"
I believe my father was half Saami. His entire maternal line goes back to 1600βs in Lapland. Does this look consistent with Saami ancestry? I entered my mother in the same sub string (she has no known Finn or Scandinavian ancestry) and no Saami came up. I believe my mother is German, Slovenian and Romani.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I know there's contention regarding "chasing the lands" and I don't see PRS competitors single loading very often in videos I watch(but they probably changed freebore). Is it worth it?

So I'm looking to build my first AK soon. I have a virgin Romy front trunnion and virgin AK builder barrel. Im trying to figure out what headspace gauges to use. From what I have read, it appears that SAAMI gauges will give a tighter headspace, and make for a slightly more accurate rifle (at least per my understanding). Can any experienced builders chime in? Thank you in advance.
Hey there! I am writing my master's thesis about Saami languages in education and I could use some help. I would need a few people involved in education (pre-service teachers, in-service teachers, Saami students, language coordinators, Saami language experts...) so that they can share their opinion about the provisions for Saami languages in schools.
Would anyone be up for a questionnaire? It doesn't take very long, I promise.

When we went on a trip to JukkasjΓ€rvi, we also went to the reindeer farm where they had some Saami sayings.
One of them particularly intrigued us: "if you have time to envy, you shouldn't complain".
Does anyone know the translation for this? We didn't take a picture at the time of this, and deeply regret it.
Edit: It's a quote from Thomas Marainen.
Does anyone have concept art or pictures of armor they would wear?
Due to an injury, and other things, I haven't been able to get out as much as I like. I have been working on a few things here and there, including this kit.
Hey guys! I am a bachelorβs student from Leiden University researching the SΓ‘mi languages for my bachelorβs thesis, more specifically the relationships with the languages and/or experience with language education. No proficiency is needed to participate! Iβve made a survey for my research and would greatly appreciate if you guys have the time to fill it out! Itβs quite short and shouldnβt take much more than 5 min. The link is here:

Thank you all for helping me out!
Edit: also feel free to share it with anyone who might be interested or willing to participate! :)

Newcomer here. I'm looking at SAAMI and CIP guide books on cartridge dimension data. I see that the documentation notes that the data listed is the maximum dimensions and voluntary from manufacturers. I'm wondering if there are ever cases of manufacturers making cartridges that fall out of those tolerances?
For example the 357 Sig cartridge is listed in SAAMI with a rim diameter of 10.77mm with a - 0.25 tolerance. Is it impossible for 357 Sig cartridges with a rim diameter smaller than 10.72mm to exist then?
I also heard that bullet type and seating could also impact cartridge OAL, but this seems like an inherent variation.
I have been searching online, but so far I havenβt been able to find many good sources. I am constantly drawn towards the folklore of indigenous peoples across the world, as they are often some of the most unique stories that one can find. Sadly, it has almost universally been the practice of colonizers to systemically seek to erase indigenous cultures in every continent. In my case, I have found that learning the stories of these people has broadened my perspective, added fulfillment to my life, and allowed me to develop more love, compassion and empathy for those who are different than me and have suffered greatly at the hand of the people who did not try to understand them. I would be much obliged if anyone could direct me to a source to read or listen to the stories and legends of your people, or if you have your own favorite story that you would like to tell.
Always wondered. Saw a post about Lapland in r/Finland and dared to ask. Kiitos!
I understand that the Saami are a semi-tribal people. I am wondering on how sex is viewed in their community. Is it solely as a means to reproduce, does casual sex exist, and how men and women are viewed as (sexual) beings.
Have inherited four first issues of Vulle voujas (Saami edition Donald Duck & Co). Have no idea of what they are worth, if any, as I am not a collector. Can anyone assist? Don't know if this is the right place for such questions.
Hey there! I am writing my master's thesis about Saami languages in education and I could use some help. I would like to interview a few people involved in education (pre-service teachers, in-service teachers, language coordinators...) so that they can share their opinion about the provisions for Saami languages in schools.
Would anyone be up for an interview? Thank you very much in advance.
