So, I recently found out that I made partner at a "biglaw" firm, which means that I'll go from making 500-600k a year to meaningfully more than $1M a year (don't want to get into specifics because it will out the firm I'm at), essentially for as long as I care to stay in the job.
I'm honestly not sure what to do. This isn't a "life calling" for me, in that if I won the lottery tomorrow and had $15M in my bank account post-taxes, I would 100% quit. My current NW is ~$1.5-2.7M, depending on how you count it. $1.5M is post-tax if I exclude my home equity (I paid my mortgage off early so this is a huge hit) and include what I call net college costs, which is the sum of (x) current cost of attendance at the most expensive private colleges for my kid; plus (y) 4 years of in-state tuition for another family member; minus (z) what I have in 529 savings (this is about a $180k deduct right now, i.e., I have to save another $180k for college to zero this out)). $2.7M is pre-tax if I include my home equity and exclude net college costs (including that I exclude the 529 savings, which I no longer view as "my" money).
I have a lot of insurance--life, disability, umbrella, etc.
I'm in my upper 30s. Spouse keeps our household going and is priceless in that regard, but doesn't bring in a separate income. Kid is 4.
I'm just kind of lost. I never expected to make partner at my firm, I've just been kind of staggering until they fire me and, lo and behold, they haven't fired me. I spend about $110k/year right now in COVID-world (excluding income taxes, including property taxes, insurance, etc.), a number that will go up significantly once traveling is happening again and eating out is happening again, so probably a realistic baseline of something like $150-200k/year (again, excluding income taxes). There are definitely things I'd like to spend more money on that I haven't--personal training once COVID isn't as much of a concern (my health is very poor and I haven't been able to self- motivate to work out in the last 2 years), upgraded travel, eating out, massage (I have a lot of pain and massage is basically the only thing that provides temporary relief).

So this literally just happened to a friend of mine. She gave me the okay to post here so I am. For some background I’m in cosmetology school to become a hairstylist and the school I go to is a salon based school and what that means is that actual people come in to get actual services done anything from haircuts, blowouts, updos, silk presses from the cos (cosmetology) students and/or facials, waxings, or lashes from the esti (esthetician) students. Anyway onto what happened my friend who we’ll call Sally (fake name) gets a client who wants to get a silk press done (important info for later Sally is Hispanic or Latino and the Karen in the story is Black).
So she sits Karen down and Sally starts the consultation and when Sally gets to the question “Are you able to duplicate this process at home?” Karen responds “Yes and probably better then you.” Sally was sort of taken a back by the comment but doesn’t say anything and started the service. She shampoos her and brings her back and the rude remarks start and while she’s being blow drying her and I’m not totally sure what exactly was being said but I know Karen was making remarks on how she doesn’t think Sally can do it as well as she can do it as well as she can. At this point I believe she got AT since she couldn’t find OT (she’ll come in later) and started showing her how to properly flatiron her hair and I just happened to have been sitting nearby and saw that Karen was filming them from behind her and I was thinking ‘WTF why are you filming her.’ But I didn’t say anything. At this point OT comes back and sees what’s going on and she is essentially telling her that she needs to stop and be respectful and that she is only a student. And finally AD comes out to talk to her and eventually she takes Karen into her office to talk to her and really hammer in her that she needs to stop this behavior and anymore and she’ll need to leave.
So Karen agrees and she sits back down and she starts filming her again and finally the AD had enough and told her to leave so Sally takes the draping off and leaves with her hair only half done because she expected a specialist to do her hair.
Afterwards they pull Sally aside and said she handled it extremely well and I even chipped and said “We are honestly not that much different from a real salon we just have mor

I started applying slow at first and then more aggressively about 3 months ago. At that time, I started to consider maybe, it's just end of year and people aren't hiring as much. That changed today, when I received my most recent rejection.
I was rejected for an internal application, for a job incredibly similar to a role I previously held with the same company. I've only had glowing reviews for my time with the current company but it got me thinking that if I was rejected for something like that, it could very well be the resume.
Any input on the resume would be appreciated. I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious, or what's going on. I keep hearing that the IT sector is on fire right now and I'm not seeing any responses. I'm currently looking for pretty much anything IT related at this point, but specifically a desktop support or a systems administrator (preferably remote)

I’ve tried recruiters and headhunters in the past, but they’ve always been stand-offish, ghosting me, ignoring me etc. I don’t mind paying a reasonable fee for good service if it eliminates the ghosting and non helpfulness. I’m wondering if this is a service that exists?
I do have a strong idea of what job I want, I more so need help with applying and catering my resume for each position. Going to be extremely vague about some details.
The spouse and I own a beautiful home. We're in the process of trying to get some work done. We live here with a roommate who is very close with us. We are all a CF bunch.
Spouse's more distant but local family member was due to come over. This person, let's call him J (not his real initial) owns a company that does heating work and that's one of the things we're looking to have changed. We're on a time crunch (details are irrelevant), so the household was aware and waiting the other week when J was scheduled to swing by. We already have a few estimates so J's was going to be our last before we get to make a choice and pull the trigger!
J pushed the appointment back, and then was a little late (not holding it against him). He brought his lady friend with him (also not a problem). They also brought their child. Their young, we're talking no older than possibly 6ish, child.
My house is not set up for children. The kid tried to gank my silly string (boy, aren't we all lucky he didn't set that off in the house). I'm fairly certain the thing is too young to be vaccinated in the U.S., and some of us are immunocompromised in this household. Plus I have a lot of friends who are immunocompromised to varying degrees who I'd like to see again.
They didn't ask if the kid could come. They didn't let us know the kid was coming in advance. The kid was in every room of the house except my roommate's. Just high energy, nonstop. Eventually, we were able to wrangle him into a game of Set at the table. Some NOTICE would have been nice. Something. I had to make sure the cats weren't bothered (mostly because I didn't want to be cleaning child blood off anything/have to deal with tears).
I'm grateful there are not any children here regularly. I'm grateful my spouse is someone who wants babies/children EVEN LESS THAN I DO (thanks and praise unto the universe)! So I'm trying not to complain about a relatively short amount of time. I think they were here overall for less than two to three hours on a single afternoon. My roommate (rightfully) refused to leave her bedroom until they had driven their car away. I'm annoyed by the fact that I wasn't given the option to have any control over my environment, but I'll live.
