A list of puns related to "Muscovy duck"
My neighbor raised two male Muscovy Ducks and theyβve not returned for a few days. Prince Harry and Prince William are about 9 months old, the size of Neneβs (approximately 30β long/15 lbs), with black and white feathers, and bright red waddles about the bills and eyes. We hope they will return on their own but please let me know if youβve seen them around the island. My neighborhood is in Kapahi.

for people who don't have multiple acres or tall fences, is it possible to keep muscovies in coops/runs like people do with domestic ducks? say 4x4ft coop attached to a 10x10ft run?
After seeing a recent post about a Muscovy with frostbite. I noticed my Muscovy Drake has frostbite as well! I'm not entirely sure what to do. They're in a well insulated 12x10 coop, almost never let out at this point, though there's no heater in there. I read a heater is a bad idea, and they'll be fine once they've acclimated but apparently not for my ducks :/
I don't generally open the coop for them to free roam unless it's above 10 degrees, otherwise they stay inside. What else should I be doing to prevent frostbite??
I would include a picture but I can't for the life of me figure out how. Sorry!
Hi guys,
Just acquired four muscovy ducks to hang out in the forrest around the pond.
Anyone in here that have any experience with ducks and want to share any tips, tricks or facts?
My neighbor who's got a little duck farm in his backyard is selling muscovy ducks alive or dead and plucked. I really want to try fresh duck meat (and it's also cheaper than the one from stores). But I think ducks from the store and restaurants are not the same breed. Will muscovy duck meat have the same flavor and consistency?
There is a white Muscovy duck near our home and itβs clearly been dumped by its owners; itβs spent the last six or so days just kind of standing around trying to figure out what itβs supposed to do. Unfortunately, I canβt take it myself. I was going to pick it up and take it to our local humane society, but thereβs a decent chance it wonβt be adopted out and would be destroyed. The other option is that I snag it and take it to an area I know other Muscovy sucks hang out and thrive.
My question is, can you take a domesticated duck and safely release it with other ducks of its kind? Are ducks territorial? Will they accept this new duck and teach it βhow to duck?β
My partner is from Ely and every time we've been there to visit his family, I always love seeing the Muscovy ducks down by the river!
Why is Ely one of the only places in the UK where these ducks are common? Is it something to do with the landscape or climate, or are there any fun local legends to explain them?
I've got about a rotating 25-30 Muscovies that I feed on my pond, and I love them all so much.
My question is:
Some of them wander around at night and look for food (I only feed them a little bit once a day, and never at night). Why do some of them totally shut down for the night and go to sleep and some of them wander around for hours?
Hello. My neighborhood is facing an invasion of Muscovy ducks. How have you get rid of them in the past? I mean, with no predators and proliferating without control, these creatures are achieving problematic levels. My neighborhood has easily over 50 ducks. They poop all over the place. There is constantly a duck dead in the road because of an accident with a car. The situation is a bit out of control.
I added two new Pekin ducks to my group of a female and male Muscovy. They don't seem to get along though. They never really follow each other or generally do stuff together. Except when the male mates with them. Otherwise the female Muscovy kicks them out of the pen and won't really allow them to eat. Also my Muscovies are outside most of the time while the Pekin ones stay in the shelter most of the day. I was wondering of I could do something about the problems stated.
A muscovy laid eggs in my yard but got chased off sometime around sunset. It's been a couple of hours and the temperature is in the 60s F. Wondering if I should go buy something to warm the eggs in the mother's absence.
