This caught my eye while hiking in eastern Utah, pretty sure I was in Brushy Basin Member of the Morrison Formation. Maybe petrified wood, dinosaur bone, or rock?

New paper supports the validity of the 24 recognized Sauropod species in the Morrison Formation. Some authors have suggested this number is overestimated and represents growth series.

The seller is calling this a Triceratops tooth from the Upper Jurassic Morrison Formation of New Mexico. The identification is completely wrong. Triceratops comes from the Late Cretaceous of the Hell Creek/Lance Formations of the Western US and Canada. By the way, this is a rock.

Dinosaur bone from the Morrison formation (~150 million yrs old). 35 million yrs ago, silica-rich, superheated groundwater flooded the area, leading to re-mineralization of the original calcite fossil by silicates.

Day 106: Stegosaurus. The third most famous Dinosaur. Decided to go a more original route with the colours rather than green body, red plates like every depiction ever. This is my first Morrison Formation dino, the one that includes all the famous Jurassic dinos like Allosaurus and Diplodocus.

Day 113:Ceratosaurus. A very popular Dinosaur coming from the Morrison formation with Stego, Dippy and Allo. Some restorations give this guy a huge nose horn when in reality, it would have been more like a crest, most likely for sexual display. Still havent drawn a Theropod that I've been happy with

Central Texas Morrison Formation?
So the other day I found this interactive map that shows what the Earth would have looked like at different time periods. I noticed that around the time of the late Jurassic period most of Texas would have been above sea level.
My question is if there supposedly was new Jurassic deposits or even extents of other deposits like the Morrison, would they still be there? And if so, how far down would they be?

Fruitadens! I am drawing a series of Morrison formation tetrapod fauna and I am starting it with this smaller-than-a-cat heterodontosaurid. He has stolen an egg, and is messily devouring his prize while glaring around nervously, - as something is rustling and stomping after him...
