A list of puns related to "Metacritic"
Based on Metascore and the Main Story time on howlongtobeat. It's not meant to be an exhaustive list. I'm sure I missed some games, plus not every game has a score/time, so please mention them in comments. This is more like a bunch of recommendations for people who like shorter games. I originally made the list for myself but I thought some here might be interested.
I was gonna add--when you click a URL it might say "redirecting..." but that's just how Google Sheets does it. There are no affiliate links. I'm definitely not making any money from this post.
So apparently Pokemon Snap is being review bombed for some reason.... I decided to take a look at some the reviews and noticed something about the negative reviewers. Usually with review bombs you get lots newly made accounts just to review one game but this isn't the case. I would say a majority of the negative reviews are done by people who have also reviewed Pokemon Sword/Shield and their DLC with 10/10 scores.
So it seems like Pokemon Sword/Shield defenders are angry at Pokemon Snap for some reason? I wonder why.....
Edit (5/7/2021): It seems Metacritic has now deleted a lot of these negative reviews that follow this pattern.

New Pokemon Snap is now sitting at a 5.2 User Score on MC (earlier this morning it had a 3.5 score, so it looks like some counter bombing is already underway)
For anyone doubting the sincerity of these reviewers, clicking their profiles reveals most of them have reviewed about 4 or 5 games exclusively with either a 0 or 10 (one of them hilariously gave the PS5 version of MLB a 10, and the Xbox version a 0). Some of these reviewers have only reviewed Pokemon games (usually at zero). These reviews also have unusually high helpful ratings as opposed to the positive or mixed reviews
I know review bombing is basically a daily occurence now, but just another reminder of how fickle MC User scores are
Edit: Counter-bombing def underway, with some one-day old profiles giving it a 10 (some also giving Returnal a 0, because of course)
Hi r/NintendoSwitch!
Today marks the launch of my game DARQ: Complete Edition on Switch (which happens to be my favorite console). DARQ is a spooky puzzle game set in a lucid dream (trailer). Here are some fun facts about the game and my crazy journey - you can ask me about any of those, or anything at all.
Also, I'll be doing a giveaway at the end of this AMA (read the last bullet point).
There's a lot of people saying that star wars squadrons is racist against white people in the metacritic user scores. Also some of them are saying that the diversity is "forced"/ saying it's full of SJW stuff.
Wtf are these reviews!?!
I mean did they not see how you can still play as a white dude in the character creator and you literally fly missions with Wedge Antilles.(who's white)
Nothing is forced in a fantasy universe in where the creators have complete control over who is in it and quite frankly there's nothing wrong with having a game that has more representation of other races. There's a multitude of studies that show having more diversity of people in pop culture that look like you can really help validate your existence in that culture.
Representation does 2 things 1 Affect how a type of person is perceived by others 2 Affect how a person perceives themselves
Good representation means a lot to people who arenβt normally represented in a positive light.
I'm all for allowing user reviews on games but not liking a game for frankly racist reasons like a game wanting to add more representation of other types of people to play as is stupid/bigoted.
If these guys are angry about women and people of color being in important roles in the story imagine how surprised they'd be if they realized that people like that do important things in real life already.
(sorry just wanted to rant)
(Some of the negative reviews have valid points like the game relies on too much on it's multiplayer and it's single player is too short but there's a lot of negative reviews with the reasons like the ones above.)
Here is an updated version of my PS3 Exclusives list organized by Metacritic score. I've included a list of former exclusives that have also been released on PS4. I've also included a list of multi platform PS3 games that are not available on PS4 (but only could get as far as a Metacritic score of 85 so far).
Some notes:
π· PS Now π§ Digital Only π Disc-only πΏ Disc-only (PSN version removed)
PS3 Exclusives (70+ Metacritic):
I know there are just 5 reviews right now but it's the first game I see for a visual novel to get a perfect score. User score doesn't look that good but I'm sure some of it are just trolls. So I'm curious on what's your impression of this game?

After 8 years and so much marketing it turned out to be like this. Huge disappointment imo.
As of now, we have 2 series up on Phase 4. Is the series performances looking good to you?
Movies and Series | Rotten Tomatoes | iMDb | Metacritic |
---|---|---|---|
WandaVision | Critics: 92 -- Users: 81 | Users: 8.1 | Critics: 77 -- Users: 7.0 |
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier | Critics: 89 -- Users: 73 | Users: 7.6 | Critics: 74 -- Users: 5.8 |
With thousands of participating user reviews and a hundreds of critics sharing their insights, I think this is a fair score for both shows. Both are not that top-tier, but they are really great in their own way. The scores show that both users and critics are in favor of WandaVision as a better show, which is understandable, and I pretty much agree on, since the show goes way beyond the norm of the comic book genre, and is more unique, story-telling wise.
Although I think TFATWS has a stronger theme to impose with their societal issues like racism and politics, the show is still part of a common superhero flick (hero saves the day!) that seeks to satisfy the existing fangirls and fanboys of the CBM/S genre. WandaVision, on the other hand, put grief and trauma into a whole other level of creative storytelling and executed in game-changing ways as a series that is unique to the general public's eyes.
Overall, MCU did it again! They brought 2 hit shows to the mainstream and gave the characters (who are not focused in the Infinity Saga) their time to shine. I feel like the LOKI series will bring more to the table, and give us a hybrid of both WV & TFATWS (mysterious and action-packed!).
Although I am not that confident that the next slate of MCU series after WV, TFATWS and Loki will top these three, but we'll see. Still, I'm proud of MCU for being consistent on producing quality shows and being bold with their first 2 series!
Literally almost every game of the franchise (except some from Persona) have yellow or red score based on the community reviews. I guess the obvious answer is maybe..... Review bombing?
I don't know.
EDIT: Confirmed guys, it was review bombing, if you check the user reviews for Strange Journey on DS you'll find that almost all negative reviews were deleted but the metadata with the number of reviews is still there affecting the average.

Why are the user scores for monster hunter world pc version so low at metacritic? It seemed so weird because I heard that the game was fantastic.
