A list of puns related to "Gamerankings"
For those of you unfamiliar with the site, it is analogous to rotten tomatoes for movie reviews, in that it's an aggregate of all the reviews a game gets from all the big name ranking sites (IGN, PC gamer, ect). I'm in medical school and gave up video games (at least until I finish) but I absolutely loved the first game. It would seem that everyone else does too. You guys at Larian studios did a fantastic job, so congratulations on your success

Despite the pretty old-looking UI, GameRankings has always been my place to go to compare how games were reviewed across the ages; especially looking at how games from pre-2000 stacked up against each other. Unlike both OpenCritic and MetaCritic, it features tons of scores from gaming outlets that haven't existed for years and has a pretty unparalleled search functionality in comparison to other review aggregators.
It'll be a shame to see it go and all that data lost with it.
So, GameRankings went the way of the dodo last December, but luckily an ambitious user was able to save the game database, including the aggregate review scores and the number of reviews included in that score.
If something similar should ever happen to GameFAQs, could the same be done to save the userscore, difficulty level, and game length stats?

Currently at 97.21%. Super Mario Galaxy is back on top at 97.64%. Not that I really care but I took a look at BotW's review and I'm pretty confident it fell down the 4th due to a review from New Game Network gave it an 84/100. http://www.newgamenetwork.com/article/1621/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-review/
Seriously, not a big deal as this game is up there with both Super Mario Galaxy games and Ocarina of Time. That's really good company. Interesting the Wii U version currently has a 98.33% score but with only 3 reviews so it doesn't qualify to be ranked.

I've made a spreadsheet that contains all of GameRankings' games and scores. It was a great source of information and it would be shame if it just disappeared. While Metacritic is fine, it uses a different set of data that has less reviews, especially for older games, which are often missing completely.
The spreadsheet has a nice little bonus feature - the games are sorted by Bayesian average. This is what IMDB uses on the Top 250 and it basically lowers the rank of titles with too few votes, as their score is less trustworthy. It's used only for sorting and the original scores are untouched.
Hope you'll find it useful!

Update: here's a quick browser/filter/search for the data https://gr.blade.sk/. Google Sheets starts to get unwieldy with so much data.
I am looking for a very peculiar site which has these games catalogued so I can find out which games were the best of these retro systems very quickly. Anyone knows anything about a site like that ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks !
Im willing to bet 85-89%

Hello Reddit!
Want to share a cool website with you (link: http://sgg.oitc.ch/) that I and my friend made, it can help you to quickly find a game that suits your preferences. Especially relevant during the summer sale ;3
On a monthly basis, we collect and combine the data from the following websites: Steam (Origin, GOG, Uplay, BattleNet), Steam Spy, GameFAQs, HowLongToBeat, GameRankings, Metacritic and IGDB. So it is safe to say that this is the largest and the most accurate database on the Web.

>Disclaimer: The website DOES NOT and WILL NOT show advertise, pop-up windows and other things, it was made by gamers for gamers without any profitable reason.
Filters: thanks to the filter page, you can easily find some top-rated RPG game for $10, not an Indie one, so the playtime would be around 8 hours, and localized in a selected language.
Scan your own library: if you have a lot of games in your library, you can filter and randomize them only. Try it, maybe it is a chance to play something you once bought but never started playing.

SGG Challenge: the website is named after the RGG (retro game gauntlet for classic consoles) challenge, and, in some sense, SGG is its successor. The point of our challenge is to experience how the video game industry has changed (and whether it has changed at all). Examples of challenges:
SGG Rank: one-of-a-kind game evaluation system that ranks games not by subjective "betterness" but by popularity in
... keep reading on reddit β‘I would love to have gamerankings.com there. Why? Because it has way more Retro Games rated then metacritic. Or at least give us the chance to do a new ranking card without having to change the personal rating. Also sometimes it dosnt find the game in the metacritic database because here the name is in German.
EDIT This isn't some kind of official rankings. These sites are video game review aggregator sites like what rotten tomatoes is for movies. They average reviews from a lot of video game publications like EMG, famitsu, IGN, Gamespot, etc.
I just went down the list of top rated games or top rated rpgs and listed jRPGs until I had a handful from each site . There's more RPGs down the list. Maybe I skipped some because I didn't know it was a jPRG.
