A list of puns related to "Liz Lemon"
I cannot get over how realistic grounded, and of course funny Liz lemon was as a faux joker. It was so good in fact I think it might be the best representation of the character. Jack Nicholson's joker was just an aesthetic, Joaquin Phoenix's joker was fairly realistic but not empathetic, and Heath ledger, for all intents and purposes, doesn't even have a backstory. Lemon on the other hand has done everything by the books her entire life and had nothing to show for it. Liz's rebellion against society is just as much a rebellion against her failed self. I could even argue that the events on the joker episode were set up all the way back in in season 2 (?) when Liz sympathizes with the arsonist. Liz's motivations are not evil and actually make sense but she must be stopped, she even has a redemption arc. Tl;dr Liz lemon was the most believable and funny joker, now give me $40.
I know Jenna shouldn't have told everyone that Liz was considering having kids/finding a donor/etc but I thought it was really sweet that everyone was so willing to volunteer. If anything, it goes to show that she is ultimately well liked in her workplace even though we see her as a weirdo sometimes. Even though it was unwanted, I found it sweet
Is anyone aware of a breakdown of Liz Lemon's sandwiches?
I'd be interested in the first sandwich she mentions / orders in the show, and the last.
And which she orders / consumes /mentions the most.
There's a YouTube video that counts the number of times the word "sandwich" is mentioned, but that's not the same...
what are your favorite wholesome moments?
personally, I love when Jack shows up unannounced at Lemon's place, after listening to the string of voicemails she leaves during her pregnancy scare. (S2:E15)
you can really see how much he genuinely cares from watching his facial expressions change during the messages, followed by immediately checking on her.
I found myself referring to someone as a douche b recently and it cracked me up. It's so funny. I knew I was referencing something so that usually means it's from 30 rock.
If it isn't that it's gotta be from Kimmy Schmidt or girls 5eva.
While other women have bigger boobs than you, no other woman has as big a heart. When I saw you getting ready to go out and get nailed by a bunch of guys last night, I knew for sure it was over between us, and for the first time since the '86 World Series, I cried... I cried like a big, dumb homo.
And if it was up to me, we'd be together forever. But there's a new thing called "women's liberation", which gives you women the right to choose and you have chosen to abort me, and that I must live with.
So tonight, when you arrive home, I'll be gone. I officially renounce my squatter's rights.
You would think it would come up since Lemler and Floyd had to break up because she was transferred to Connecticut.
But all that happens is Lemon saying "I hear your gf got transferred. Sorry" to Floyd in the elevator very non-chalantly
So I just started watching 30rock in order and in the first episode, Jack says he can guess Liz's weight but warns her she wouldn't want him to do that. Then at the end of the episode, he reveals its 127 pounds (57kg?) And Liz is pissed.
Now, I understand first season was back in the day when the skinny girl body type was very much glamourized but 127 pounds still seems not enough to make it as a fat joke. It seems like a running joke that Liz likes to eat and should lose a little bit. I just don't get it, or is it exaggerated on purpose?
Quite new to the show:)
