A list of puns related to "Joseph Wiseman"
I've read makeup was used to give him a more Chinese look as Dr. No but what exactly did they do? It looks like they put some prosthetic eyelids over his own (already fairly hooded) to make them even more hooded/Asian looking, but I feel like there's something else. I can't quite put my finger on it. His face looks and moves very tightly, very similar the method of tightly pulling back the hairline to "lift" the face (a technique used, for example, on Cate Blanchett in some 'younger' scenes in Benjamin Button.) Does anyone know exactly what they did for his makeup?
[This is for serious answers only. If you're going to troll and say Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and a 2023 2nd for Damian Lillard, go somewhere else. If I've made any errors let me know in the comments and I'll fix them immediately!]
Below I'm going to breakdown every team's players who are under contract, free agents, and players that will be on expiring deals when next season begins to make it easier for everyone to see what their team can or can't do.

So in the most recent Post-game Thread I saw a lot of "TRADE CJ REEEEEEEEEEE"-comments, and I got curious. The trade machine is the most obvious way to satisfy this type of curiosity, but its results lack context, depth and logic. This is why I am coming to you, the reddit community, to ask the fans what trades make sense. To Portland fans: Which of these trades, if any, do you like? To all other fans: Do you like your proposed trade? If no, what would you change? Do you even want CJ on your team?
Some key info: McCollum is 29 years old, 6 ft 3, and is under contract until the 23/24 season. He will make 31m next year, 33m the year after, and 36m in the final year of his contract. CJ is a nice little ball player, but lacks a consistent 3-point shot and has been called both a chair and a traffic cone on defense. He is rather adept at creating his own shot, but these shots are not well-liked by advanced analytics (Nerds). This has led to a very up-and-down career so far. I recall a playoff series against the Nuggets 2 years ago where he was actually unstoppable and consistently killed them from mid-range. I also recall a playoff series against the Nuggets 0 years ago where he could get absolutely nothing going and consistently killed his team's offense from mid-range. In my humble opinion it would be fair to consider CJ the slightly worse in every way older sister of Bradley Beal (the girl you actually want but can't have). So what is the value of McCollum? In order to get to the (very shallow) bottom of this, I have gone into the NBA Trade Machine and mostly tried to make a trade work salary-wise, but kept in my mind that both teams (Side note: Mostly the non-Portland team, though. I'm pretty sure they're the sellers, most other teams are not buyers) would have to be willing to make the trade.
I consider these trades the framework for actual discussion, I know most of them are not realistic as currently constructed
IMPORTANT: About halfway through I realized I should look into the amount of years left on the contracts involved. Please correct me if I've missed some of these.
Now that that's out of the way, here we go:
ATL: Gallinari + Reddish (Possibly a pick). I have no idea what's happening with Reddish, but I feel like Atlanta (rightfully) prefers Huerter over him anyway.
BOS: Smart + Langford + T. Thompson. Only thing that works without including Brown, Tatum or Walker. Boston's not giving up Brown/Tatum, and Kemba + Dame is just pla
Week 19 is theΒ penultimate week of the NBA regular season and in most fantasy leagues it's the finals! Hope you made it this far and congratulations if you did!
It was an insanely difficult season, filled with Covid protocols, jam-packed schedules, game postponements, and too many injuries. But all that is coming to an end, and if you're looking to end it with a bang you better do all you can to win next week!
I've taken a look ahead and here are my thoughts on the fantasy basketball streamers for Week 19.
Just one word before we go deep into next week. I've been getting some amazing replies to my posts in the past few weeks, and thank you guys so much for this!
I just wanted to let you know that the whole RotoBaller crew is working hard to help fantasy GMs out, and there is a ton of quality stuff on plenty of topics on our website, so if you're looking for information about something else as well, you can probably find it here: https://www.rotoballer.com/category/nba-fantasy-basketball-advice
With every day of the following week having between seven and 10 games, there are no clear weak links in the schedule that most fantasy GMs will need help with. Therefore, this week we will take an approach that is a little different. We will split the suggestions into "early week" and "late week" options. More on that below.

(why?!)
also i did all this pretty much by eyeballing it so if i left an All-Star completely out of the league, whoopsies. for example, i forgot to include Oakland in the bench draft so i just gave them a bunch of guys named Cassius, Thon Maker, the guy Bill Simmons wanted the Celtics to draft, etc... but serves them right for learning absolutely nothing from the TMac debacle and drafting Mason Plumlee one spot ahead of Luka
why are there no NY or LA teams? because this is a visualization of another post i madehttps://www.reddit.com/r/nbadiscussion/comments/ngbc21/postlebron_leagues_i_should_probably_wait_til_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3and this is why teams only have a bench of 6 players. maybe if it rains again i will do one of the superteam league using some other random columns from bballref....

THE PISTONS' ISSUE HAS BEEN TALENT EVALUATION RATHER THAN DRAFT POSITIONING
Here's the thing, as much as any other Pistons fan, I am ready for us to draft a star! I love the players often mentioned as the top 5 for our team, but there are many ways to skin a cat! Many people seem to be upset because the Pistons almost never get top 5 picks despite their record, and so now, because we are supremely close to having one this year, it seems that the popularly growing reasoning for us "not drafting any superstars" is now directed towards our draft positions in years past. However, draft positioning has NOT been the problem for the Pistons!
Did all of the trauma posts, memes, videos, etc. about missing out on Paul George (#7 vs. #10), Kemba, Klay, Khawi, and Jimmy (#8 vs. #9, #11, #15, and #30), McCullum and Giannis (#8 vs. #10 and #15), Devin Booker (#8 vs. #13), and Donovan Mitchell (#12 vs. #15) all of a sudden go out of the window!? These are superstars that the Pistons could have had without having top 4 lottery positioning in the past few years!!
WE HAVE A POTENTIALLY ELITE TALENT EVALUATOR IN TROY WEAVER
Fast forward to now and the Pistons seem to potentially have an elite talent evaluator running the show along with a coach who knows how to pull more potential out of young guys than other coaches in some cases. Sure, the Pistons passed on these superstars but tell me this, do you believe that TROY WEAVER would miss out on these same guys? Not only has Troy Weaver had a hand in OKC drafting Westbrook; which people called a huge reach from where they drafted him, but he also had a hand in their team drafting Harden and Ibaka.
This year's draft class is one of the most highly touted in years! Last year, in what was considered a weak draft class he has already found 2 gems who are also 1st Team All-Rookie candidates in Saddiq Bey and Isaiah "Beef Stew" Stewart. People scoffed at the selection of Beef Stew with the #16 pick that he maneuvered his way back into the draft for, but yet, he had the eye to see that this young Pistons star (amongst the fans that is) could really play some ball and we're all now anxious to see how his career plays out. Saddiq Bey somehow dropped to #19 and he grabbed him. Saddiq, Weaver's 3rd 1st round pick, is looking like he could be the best player of the bunch and a potential player that other teams' fans are talking about their teams passing on in the same manner that Pistons fans talk about the Pistons passing

PLAYER STATS |
Hey all, I wanted to share a project I've been working on for a while, which is to build a model for simulating game stats for fantasy basketball. Here's are some examples of the model being used.
Assume we have the following teams in a weekly matchup.
The model then simulates 10,000 H2H matchups between the two teams, tracking weekly category wins as well as overall matchup wins. The model arrives at the following results:
Win Rate of Team 1 vs Team 2:
Category | Win Rate |
---|---|
Overall | 0.2309 |
Points | 0.0001 |
3s | 0.9628 |
Rebounds | 0.0 |
Assists | 1.0 |
Steals | 0.4344 |
Blocks | 0.0146 |
Turnovers | 0.5089 |
Ft % | 0.8971 |
Fg % | 0.0793 |
This information is quite useful as it shows which categories are most contested in a given matchup and which categories decide the overall outcome. In this given matchup, both Team 1 and Team 2 should prioritize streaming/trading for players who are strong in turnovers, steals, and percentages. On the other hand, they should ignore points, 3s, rebounds, assists, and blocks as those categories are relatively set in stone.
This can be extended to analyze all matchups in a given playoff bracket. I ran this model on my current fantasy league playoff schedule with the following results (1000 bracket simulations):
Team | Win Rate | Runner-Up Rate |
---|---|---|
Seed 1 | 0.692 | 0.203 |
Seed 2 | 0.073 | 0.355 |
Seed 3 | 0.188 | 0.318 |
Seed 4 | 0.024 | 0.018 |
Seed 5 | 0.020 | 0.043 |
Seed 6 | 0.003 | 0.063 |
Perhaps the most helpful use of the model is to simulate how a trade improves/hurts a team relative to your specific league. Here is what that looks like. The chart shows the win rates of both team 1 and team 2 against the rest of their league before and after a given trade (post-trade denoted with *). This is more useful than simply comparing z-score rankings as the model takes into account league-specific circumstances like p

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.

This happened a few years ago when my son was 6ish. When my kids hurt themselves and it doesnβt look serious I always do the βwe might have to amputate that bruised handβ shtick with them. Iβve done it enough that they now roll their eyes.
So, my son got hit lightly in the face with a rubber ball. It wasnβt a hard hit and I could tell he was more upset by the shock of it rather than the pain. So I say βlooks like we will have to amputate your nose.β To which he replies βthen how will I smell?β And I say βterrible!β
