Why don't hatcheries release fish that can breed?

In areas that can support populations of trout but only hold stockers why don't hatcheries release native bread species of fish that can spawn? Anglers will catch many and anything over the carry capacity will die off only adding to the nutrients found in the water and river and what goes down stream. Why only sterile trout? I don't understand.

We were studying parasites in snails in louisiana waterways and had them isolated in an incubator for about 2 weeks. Got pulled up on while finishing a DoorDash order right off Fish Hatchery Road.

So I wish I had a camera for all these freaking stories I have. But yesterday. I was finishing a delivery in a sketchy neighborhood. I walk back to my car and these two dudes walk out of their apt building. I think nothing of it I smile and go on my way. They walked to their cars and I’m in my car navigating my way back to where I want to dash. The one guy was parked behind me in a white car and the other guy was parked behind him in a black car. The space in front of me is a no parking zone. So, the one guy in the black car races in front of me and parks there. Back up as far as he can. The guy in the white car races up next to me and stops and starts to roll his window down. I am so sketched out and think damn. I’m about to get popped or something. I quickly reverse and the guy in the white reverses too. (Again what they’re doing at the time makes no sense because they were both already parked and the guy behind me was no next to me trying to box me in. So he was certainly not trying to park behind me again). So I reverse super fast and make it through the hole. The black car then circles the neighborhood passing me twice then following me. I couldn’t figure my way out without navigation so as I am freaking out driving fast through this neighborhood (that has a bunch of speed bumps) I have to type in an address to navigate my way the hell outta that maze. I am also a 21 year old female and they seemed to be similar aged males. I didn’t even know what I would’ve done if I had been boxed in. Or what would’ve happened if I didn’t get the hell outta there. Still wondering if I would’ve ended up on the news or if I’m being dramatic and they were doing a joke.

EDIT: My bf thinks they were trying to car jack me. And now that I think about it..that’s probably what they were going to do. Based on the way they were boxing me in and the whole situation and the prevalence of car jacking in my city. Only thing is, I saw them walk out of their apt building. I mean unless it was a friend’s apartment I would’ve known where they lived? Unless they were planning on shooting me and leaving me for the dust.

CC fish not showing up in hatchery?

I recently started a new game on PC for the AE content, and built Windstad manor in order to be able to spawn fish from the CC update. The hatchery will accept CC fish, and in fact will tell me I already have them in there if I try to add another sample, but no matter how long I've waited and how many cells I've changed, these fish are not spawning. Vanilla fish spawn just fine. I'm on AE with the preliminary version SKSE, I've tried with and without the flora/fauna respawn fix mod. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Idea Government Fish hatcheries for species reintroduction

Hi, first time poster and just found this sub. It was a struggle to find the right place to write out this idea I have that I want anyone to take and run with for a couple of government programs I'm trying to write out and gather info on to present to anyone and everyone I can find who could put it in action. And any advice where to start would be great- I bolded all the sentences that are areas I want advice in if people are just skimming. *Note cross posting this as I find more subs that fit the topic- sorry if flair isn't quite right wasn't sure how to categorize this.

I read about the illegal fishing this week, and I knew the ocean was in trouble but I didn't know how bad.

Could there be anyway to present a green effort to (for my background I'm a US citizen- anyone from any other country can take this idea and run with it) us legislative or executive branch to build fish hatcheries that are on a grand scale that are almost all strictly to reintroduce healthy grown fish (we could start with fresh water species at least) and a few salt water varieties that would best help the ocean recover? The fish breeds at the hatcheries would have to be localized for where it's located. It could be a state incentive maybe to get money for the state. *I know this doesn't fix the pollution issue but idk how the heck to tackle that in the ocean*

It would make a ton of jobs for the government that would also do good. My main reasoning is I read about how much smaller fish are now compared to like the 1960s because we have over fished to a point no fish are full grown enough. I think if they had a safe place to reach a certain larger size before being reintroduced it would have to help some what.

I also think it be interesting if the general public could get involved in the fish hatchery idea. Maybe the government primarily focuses on ocean species while people could locally get involved in raising species local to their lakes and rivers.

The local program could be done by offer tax credits for doing the job or even paying the person straight up for doing it. But they have to prove they were reintroduced and were healthy when reintroduction was done. This would also create a handful of government jobs for inspectors to go out and keep track of the fish being raised. If the person keeps doing the program year after year maybe it could add more money each year they successfully do a reintroduction.
