Pellet trained juvenile sunfish. There are some cherry barbs present and I think it’s important to have domesticated fish in the tank while pellet training. I have a small 2 foot long juvenile ball python whom I decided to build a small pond for in his enclosure. He loves it and likes to slither around on the fake bamboo stick and high rocks that stick above the water. The pond is about 5 gallons and has a filter. I was wondering if this would be ok to put a fish in. I will make sure to care for both the fish and the snake. And no ball pythons don’t eat fish. I’m no fish expert so I’m not sure if this would maybe cause too much stress for a fish? If so I could modify the pond with hides and stuff for it. I don’t want to harm a fish so any one have any advice?

I love these guys, but I am graduating soon, and moving out of state. I’m going to give the tank to family back home, but that is a several hour drive and I don’t think the critters would fair well, not to mention the drastic water changes.
