A list of puns related to "Fielding (cricket)"
The AI fielders just don't put any effort sometimes when the ball is passing by them. I've even seen ball rolling through thier legs and they keep standing. Does this happen with all of you too?
Helmet while batting, obviously important. But why an extra peoce of clothing for no reason? In the heat (if you are not the blackcaps, lol) makes sense. But night matches too? Seams the norm? How did that come to be?
Edit : sun yeah. But really talking about night matches. Tradition, just coz , bald spot maybe then.
how can i learn the cricket fielding positions?
Suppose there is T20 world cup starting next week, which would be your top 3 picks in terms of fielding ...
Mine are -
Whats your top 3 ??
I feel like sometimes we take for granted the athleticism that modern day cricketers are required to have, as well as the high fielding standards that every team boasts nowadays. Nostalgia often makes us proclaim the cricketers of old are superior to today's bunch, and while once could debate that it's true, there is no doubt that cricket has become much more professional, and the fielding and fitness of almost every modern day player reflects this. Catches which seemed only possible for elite fielders like Rhodes have now become regular ones which players are expected to take. Heck, Marcus Harris was slammed for this dropped catch in the Headingley test, which many both here and all over the internet said was "routine". Most fielders back in the 90s and before couldn't have dreamed of making the ground to that ball that quickly under pressure, let alone catching it. The quality of player stamina and fielding ability has upped the quality of the cricket played, and I hope that it is at least one thing that we can all appreciate about cricket in the modern era after looking back on the past during this period of lockdown.
Hey all, I'm an Aussie who watches the Ashes every two years but I've recently become obsessed with cricket (starting up a friendly team with friends etc) and looking forward to watching the Aussies Asia tour.
I'm just wondering why they don't display the fielding position whilst we watch the game? I think it'd make so much sense to have it displayed in the bottom left corner slightly transparent. How a team sets up their field is one the most interesting things in cricket and it seems so underutilised.
I get SO frustrated when I see a shot and I think it's going for 4 but then it gets easily picked up at fine leg for 1. It would have been amazing to slowly watch the fielding positions change for day 5 of England v Aus as the Aussies start completely suffocating the England batters hoping to get a catch.
