A list of puns related to "Cuban Missile Crisis"
Personally I think the world was fortunate that President Kennedy and Khrushchev were skilled patient negotiators and were able to resolve the conflict. What's your opinion though? Could they have done anything differently?
Letβs say China develops Nukes earlier, Cuba sides with China, China gives nukes to Cuba, once they are discovered, the US demands they be taken off the islandβ¦ how might Mao handle the crisis differently than Nikita Khrushchev?
TL DR: Iβm having trouble finding sources on a more diverse perspective/view of the Cuban Missile Crisis other than ones only talking about the greatness of John F. Kennedy. Iβm having trouble gathering facts and evidence about different perspectives in this event. Most of the sources I found, even in school-trusted websites like jstor, were heavily biased on the Americans perspective and does not show any other perspectives. I want information on what the Soviets were thinking, how the Cubans felt about the implementation of bombs in secret, and perhaps some plans the other nations decided when they heard that a nuclear war could occur. I was thinking that perhaps maybe some sources may only be available in the Russian language.
Why were kennedys advisors and generals so vehemently against the deal that was made? It seemed reasonable to me, especially given that the only alternative was nuclear conflict.
How would the Transfer of the GVE Influence the Cuban missile crisis?
