Intercom trasmission to: all HSVS Voyager Prime crew members
We got the bastard cornered. We have visual confirmation of mechanical creature with multiple sets of mechanical limbs and a modified Gorgadian heath suit. I sealed the thing in sector 9-24, but that is a temporary solution.
Most concerning, it has shown enough force to break down passenger's doors. The number of victims has now risen to 7.
It tore through 12 combat drones with ease, but we have confirmation of anesthetics being injected. The creature shows clear signs of slowing down, but it wasn't enough to stop it.
It is trying to use the downed drones to augment its armor. Ff'rzztt has taken control of the drones and is currently engaging in hit-and-run tactics to slow it down, it should prevent it from repairing itself as well as tire the creature. Power armor suit is our best chance to wound the thing.
Last visuals show it's leaking water. I have already turned off the pumps, if we can pierce that suit, we'll drown it with air. If it's leaking water, retreat to a safe positions and let the drones finish the job.
I cannot express how grateful I am for standing with me. For having the courage to don your armor and take up arms to protect our people.
Ladies and gentlemen

We have a job to do
So basically let's say we are making a standard space opera setting. No problem here. Talking Homeworld, Sword of The Stars and basically Physics Plus. It's clearly a science fiction setting. However there's pains taken to make it very internally consistent. The entire setting takes place in a single "Sector" of the galaxy that is about 500 light years in radius. So all these empires tend to be kind of squished together and are about a year or two away from each other.
Where things aren't explain things default to our known laws.
In this case though I'm going to be talking about FTL in this setting:
Based on this the manner I think the major central authority would still be a very strict confederation but it's will on enforcing the galaxy would be somewhat difficult. Humans are not the only sentient species in the setting but we make up about 20-25% of the "Power" in the sector. The sectoris kind of a Crapsacchiane place i.e. it's pretty good to live in your own borders but once you get to the frontiers or borders there's constant clashes and wars with other alien races and no one is your ally or friend.
To give you an idea of what the eleven major factions are in the setting here they are as follows (from most powerful to least):
Hey everyone, Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the communications services sector now that it's been "rearranged" and changed from telecommunications. The new sector includes companies like Disney, Facebook, Netflix, Google, Comcast, etc.
I've been thinking about adding VOX to my Vanguard portfolio, considering these new companies were added. What do you guys think?
It's hard to judge past performance now because the major holdings are very different.

Here's some food for thought. Major investors like VC and private equity funds, put their money into projects with a roughly five year time horizon (when they have to pay back their investors.)
Literally billions of dollars have flowed into the crypto markets in January, 2022 alone. Temporary price movements have little to no effect on these investor decisions.
As the old sports saying goes, hockey players skate to where the puck will be, not where it is now.
Other trends point in the same direction.
More and more banks are going to offer crypto trading services (watch out for those fees) according to industry stalwart American Banker (https://www.americanbanker.com/list/7-tech-trends-to-watch-in-2022-from-crypto-banking-to-biometrics).
They do this because they project continued demand for these services, which requires them to spend money on infrastructure, marketing, It teams, to make it happen. As slow as banks generally move, the fact they are offering these services is a longer-term plus.
Still not enough positive momentum?
Consider which Blockchain/web 3.0/tokenization projects are actually making services better, faster, or cheaper (or will relatively soon.) The tech adoption curve starts out slow, but eventually sweeps upwards over time (no one knows how long it will take until there's mass adoption.)
Crashes like this shake out weak projects, get-rich-quick traders (they'll be back when green days return, no doubt), and other fad chasers. That doesn't change the longer-term trajectory of the industry.
Iβve been a customer of CDC since just after the MCO days and Iβve always been bullish on their token and wrote as much on this sub more than once. Also have an Icy White and a LOT of crypto staked on The Exchange, in Crypto.com Earn and (due to my CRO entry price being well under $0.10) a six-figure sum of CRO staked for the CDC Icy.
To wake up today and see Reddit plastered with info about the βHackβ was concerning, but not as concerning as what might happen to the price of CRO. Then I remembered several important factors:
Security
100% of user cryptocurrencies are held offline in cold storage.
>βCrypto.com has a strategic partnership with Ledger, integrating its institutional-grade custody solution, Ledger Vault. We also leverage hardware security modules (HSM) and multi-signature technologies. Crypto.com has secured a total of USD 750M in cold storage insurance against physical damage or destruction, and third-party theft.β
Usersβ fiat currencies are held in regulated custodian bank accounts.
>If you are a U.S. resident, your USD balances are held at Metropolitan Commercial Bank, an FDIC member and insured depository institution. Your USD balances held at Metropolitan Commercial Bank are insured up to USD $250,000. You retain ownership of those funds in Metropolitan Commercial Bank accounts, meaning your fiat funds cannot be claimed by Crypto.com or its creditors.
Crypto.com Becomes the First FinTech Company to achieve the coveted Data Protection Trust Mark (DPTM) awarded by Singaporeβs Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)
Communication
As soon as the hack had been confirmed, CDC did what they have always done best: swiftly recognised that there was an ongoing issue and communicated not only what had happened (2FA compromised on user accounts), but also reassured users that all withdrawals would be suspended until they rolled out an app update which would enable 2FA to be re-enabled and accounts once again secured:

For the past two years I have handled marketing for a subscription box start up, and for the past year I have handled social media for a small chain of bookstores. Hi all. I've been a long time lurker on this subreddit and have learned a lot from all of your posts here detailing your experiences so first off thank you for that.
I've been undergoing orthodontic treatment during Covid and was scheduled for UJS later this month to treat my class III malocclusion but my surgeon cancelled the surgery out of the blue yesterday, citing "scheduling issues" and the hospital has not given me a new date yet. I'm in Scandinavia and my treatment is being paid for by the public health care system so I have no say in who I get treated or operated by. I'm obviously disappointed by the postponed surgery but this has brought to surface some of the issues I've had with my treatment leading up to the surgery, mainly the poor comms from the surgeon and the general approach in the hospital that seems to be only concerned with function with little consideration to form - I've not seen any kind of a detailed surgical plan or reasoning as to why I'm getting the surgery that I'm getting and the only thing I know is that I will be getting a Lefort 1 with 8mm forward advancement.
I've met my surgeon a total of two times (5 minutes + 15 minutes) and he has not given me any info regarding the surgical plan, the potential side effects to my appearance (I'm especially concerned over the potential shape of my nose post surgery as my nose is already upturned and crooked) or how they've arrived at the plan that they have. Also, my orthodontist told me that I have narrow airways based on the x-rays we did and I'm concerned that I will have to undergo a separate MMA surgery in the future as I have sleep apnea (currently in line waiting for a CPAP machine from the public healthcare system). The surgeon's conduct has been especially concerning as during my second meeting with him he actually started walking me through a lower jaw surgery and I had to stop him and remind him that I was told I'm getting a Lefort 1 after which he haphazardly said he had gotten the patient paperwork mixed up. He also seemed to be in a hurry and rushed me out the door after 15 minutes. This is all very distressing and it has gotten to a point where I'm seriously considering seeking 2nd and 3rd opinions outside of the public health sector from surgeons who have a more holistic approach to jaw surgery even if it costs me an arm and a leg.
Can anyone relate to this or have any words of encouragement? Am I overthinking this? Thank you.
